Hey guys, will be competing soon! Hope you're all doing well
do most of you guys understand the concept in this figure?
May I be wrong. But I think the reversed peak denotes the presence of an exoplanet transit between a star and us.
oh because the presence of an exoplanet coming in between the star and the sensor would just make a shadow to the sensor and so no light data was captured something like that?
Hello!!
Yes, I believe it's something like this
You can find more information in the "Resources and Previous Discussions" in discussion section.
I'm not really sure about the other examples
I'm still looking into them
https://www.kaggle.com/code/gordonyip/calibrating-and-time-binning-astronomical-data guys this page doesn't really have anything. Is there a new page i should be aware of for calibration data?
this may help ? https://www.kaggle.com/code/gordonyip/update-calibrating-and-binning-astronomical-data
Hi, I'm thinking to participate in this I haven't participated in 2024 challenge can someone let me know how to get started and understand this better?
can anyone tell about the resources needed for this challege? Does the kaggle's storage and gpu enough for this competition?!!
i am already experiencing system out of memory errors? any tips would be highly helpful to me!!
I am also participating first time this year, but as far as last year's discussions go, you wont be able to load everything at once and work with it
Some people did provide some advanced ways to tweak the memory limit, but I am not experienced with those
Hey, can I team up with someone for this (I just want to watch and learn)
Hi everyone! I’m trying to reproduce the 2024 Ariel Challenge solution. Has anyone already implemented the previous year's solution?
hi guys
in the kaggle contest page it says that top submissions will get their paper published in NuerlPS? what would be considered top?
does anyone know?
Hey guys, quick question about the recent dataset regeneration. Were the planet ids and star_info files regenerated as well? I can't really tell. The instrument data was obviously regenerated and far different now. But I'm still curious about what star_info. Thanks!
I am getting submission scoring error for some reason
shape of the dataframe from submission.csv is (1, 567)
seems like there is only one planet_id in the test folder or is that not the case? can someone please tally the shape of submission.csv ?
This is called Code Competition
https://www.kaggle.com/docs/competitions#notebooks-only-FAQ
after you submit the code, they will use a hidden test set to run the code
Hello everyone, I have a question. When you submit a notebook, how long does it usually take to get the result? For me, it often takes up to 3 hours. I'm not sure if this is normal behavior or if something is wrong
Looking for a teammates to win this competion pushing boundaires and eventually write a paper and get publish
Dm me if interested
yes I think its normal
