One of the things that looks super interesting and was recommended to me was to do kaggle since it is from what ive heard full of data to analyse and make predictions from. Minimum qualification (hard rule). Submission must achieve ≥ 75% coverage of the ground-truth subset on the hidden evaluation (i.e., Recall ≥ 0.75). Submissions below this threshold are not eligible for ranking or prizes.
As a result, I chose submissions that would apply to these rules, and the final leaderboard is just not respecting this, and host has vanished (after people provided him their solutions).
This is not fair at all, and I would hope Kaggle ensures that the rules are applied

Submissions to this competition must be made through Notebooks. In order for the "Submit" button to be active after a commit, the following conditions must be met:

CPU Notebook <= 9 hours run-time
GPU Notebook <= 9 hours run-time
Internet access disabled
Freely & publicly available external data is allowed, including pre-trained models
Submission file must be named submission.csv

will these be assesed based on the notebook you use to train your (pre-trained) models? what if i use another source like colab pro i and just save the best models the upload to kaggle to inference, does that count as cheating or anything?

Or can just ask any AI Chat to give you resources to tutorials, repos, etc? Or their answers have been too far and wide? Too many results? Then you might want to narrow it down to a domain-area - education, healthcare, manufacturing, fintech, security, governance, etc.

Hello guys i nee help for a kaggle competition in my school so i'm working on a citrus yield prediction competition where the goal is to predict the harvested tonnage (in kg) for individual citrus parcels across different harvest dates. The dataset includes historical production data from 2019-2024 across multiple farms (called "Sites") in Morocco, with information about parcel characteristics (planting year, rootstock, variety, surface area), daily irrigation records, NPK fertilization applications, and detailed climate data (temperature, humidity, rainfall, ET0). The challenge is that citrus trees are harvested multiple times per season (across different months), so I need to predict 411 individual harvest events for the 2024/2025 campaign. The evaluation metric is R² score

I need some advice and I'm just going to be honest about why I'm asking.

I'm AuDHD — autistic and ADHD — and this was my first hackathon ever. I submitted to the Google DeepMind AGI Hackathon solo and I genuinely don't know if I did it right 😅

Some questions I can't figure out on my own:

Is spending just a few hours on a final submission normal or did I just generate chaos? 💀

Is there a standard format judges expect or is it really just whatever you built?

I submitted a benchmark framework — not a model, not an app. Is that even a valid submission type or did I misread the whole thing?
