Hi all, I'm a former professional musician based in New York that made a career change during covid. I got my first degree in Contemporary Writing and Production from Berklee college of music in 2011 and just completed a Computer Science degree in December. I'm working as a tech consultant now but don't want to get lost in whatever tech job I'm lucky enough to get in this landscape. My goal is to merge my music background with tech, and working on audio software/plugins is what I'm trying to strategize now.

Does anyone have any advice on getting started with developing music tech or breaking into music ML/AI? I know C++ is the primary dev language for music plug ins/software and I am starting to plan some data science/ml projects around digital signal processing and recommendation algorithms but any general advice or "learn from my mistakes" would be so appreciated!

I am 53 and starting the data game a little late in life.
