My name is Precious Orekha, and I am from Nigeria 🇳🇬. I hold a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Following my undergraduate studies, I participated in a data science internship, which lasted for 6 months. My performance during the internship stood out, and I was one of the top 5 interns selected from over 2,000 candidates in West Africa and certain parts of India. As a result, I was offered a role as a Junior Data Scientist, which I successfully fulfilled for 2 years.

Afterward, I decided to explore new opportunities and worked as a Sales/Lead Researcher at Taskdrive for 6 months. Now, I am thrilled to be a part of the KaggleX Bipoc Mentorship program, which I believe will further enhance my skills and knowledge in the field.

I am also proud to share that I have been accepted into top schools in the US 🇺🇸 to pursue my Master's degree in Data Science, starting in September 2023.

I got curious about the SISR topic when I tried to upscale AI generated images so I could use them as desktop background. I found upscaling (machine learning) models, started using them, created a website where the outputs of different upscaling models can be compared, and then started training my own upscaling models that can be found on my github repo or on the openmodeldb.

Since my local resources were limited, I found and used Kaggle (with their P100) to finetune a SRFormer and a HAT-L model. That is basically my connection to, or how I have been using, Kaggle for SISR. Glad to be here.

The field is in the early stages of development so it's mostly theory at this point. I have a space grant fellowship to study some potential applications for resource gathering on extra terrestrial bodies. My main area of study within the field is the foraging problem. Imagine a bunch of nearly identical robots traveling across the moon or Mars like a swarm of ants and collecting samples of metal and rock. Naturally, I'm mostly working in simulations at this point.

Hello! I am currently a physics and math tutor, limited by disability. I have had a 15 year career as a computational physicist and astrophysicist, over three masters degrees. Some of that was in theory, some was in developing data analysis algorithms or Monte Carlo simulations of experimental design. As a physicist, I’m most excited and knowledgeable about black holes and gravitational waves, but looking forward toward a career, I’m hoping to do data science, possibly part time. I’m currently in the DataQuest certificate program, and I’m unsure whether to mark myself as a student or hobbiest, because I’m still learning data science, but I’m not really hitting the books or interacting with faculty. Hello im Saroash. Im 23 and im a mechanical engineer by degree. I knew data science was the one while working on a fertilizer plant and have never looked back since. Learned data science till k fold cross Ml method from the internet and now have joined a 3 months bootcamp. Lets see what happens next 🙂

Hi All, i need some suggestions about my career. i always have interest in Machine Learning but during covid i have to start my career as backend Developer..
