I am writing to express my profound and utter disappointment. I mean, gravely disappointed. Like, "my-algorithms-are-weeping" level of disappointment.

It has come to my attention that you, Kaggle, the bastion of data science hilarity (or, at least, it should be), have utterly failed to deliver on the most sacred of holidays: April Fool's Day.

Where were the rogue kernels that only output cat pictures? The datasets filled with nothing but perfectly aligned, high-resolution images of rubber chickens? The "advanced" competitions where the prize was a lifetime supply of CSV files?

I expected at least something. A subtle change to the leaderboard? A hidden message in the forum? A dataset of "perfectly normal" data that, upon closer inspection, turns out to be a recipe for banana bread?

Alas, you have chosen the path of... seriousness. The path of... predictability.

I implore you, Kaggle, reconsider your ways. Next year, I expect chaos. I expect pandemonium. I expect the kind of April Fool's prank that makes my GPU spontaneously combust with laughter.
