Videos are the most consumed, and therefore most important, medium to convince people. That's why so many of us are making videos. One important part of these videos, is showing clips from others, especially AI experts saying things on podcasts and news interviews.
Many of us have a "clip database" in our minds. But what if we made it digital? What if we made it collaborative?
Introducing ClipBase (name by @hasty locust), the online database to find video clips on AI safety! Your one-stop shop for inspiring and convincing video snippets.
- Anyone can add clips! When you're watching a podcast and you hear something interesting, stop the video, press share, be sure to include the timestamp, and paste it to the ClipBase. Add some metadata (like the quote itself, the speaker, the topic) so others can find it easily.
- Find clips! If you're making a video, search for a speaker, a topic, a word or anything in the sheet to find your video clip.
