I have access to the PAI account and yes, it is for the social media team
Do you know whats approving messages? Do posts rn need to be approved to be posted?
We want people to be to see a lively community when they stumble across r/PauseAI, and to be presented with solid arguments, news, videos etc.
The two easiest forms of posting:
- Share a relevant news article
- Take a screenshot of a good tweet
Both can be done in under a minute.
I joined.
With 41 members, we have now overtaken r/NintendogsHD
A historic moment in our movement
Hah
I've joined and regularly share to the other anti-AI communities.
Mostly FuckAI
What do people think the ideal content-type ratios should be?
Currently, it's about 50% memes, 25% news, 20% clips (i.e. Rob Miles videos), 5% text posts
More text posts and cross-posted links to papers and blog posts would probably be good.
I hope the subreddit can grow organically after a while, so we can have an actual Reddit community, in addition to the Discord and Facebook (once we have that).
Yes, but my feeling is that the vibe of the subreddit can be set by a few of us now, and it will be followed by newcomers later.
I agree, I think text posts should be more like 30%, so there's a bit of a serious feel, and people stumbling across the subreddit can actually have a chance to be convinced by longer-form content.
Someone posted this on the subreddit. Opinions? https://www.reddit.com/r/PauseAI/s/IMve481uwT
Like, outside of the content itself
The format
Personally, I stop watching videos like this as soon as it's obvious that it's AI generated, as it suggests it will be low-effort and not worth my time (not always the case of course)
