At some point in the Lost World, the game starting failing to stop after exiting the game.
Steam shows it as playing, though it no longer appears in task manager.
When you say "STOP" it will say "Stopping" forever.
In order to clear this you need to exit Steam entirely, wait for it to end the game, and then reload Steam.
I have no STR on this one, just it started happening somewhere when I was in the Lost World.

Did you click anything ingame that opens another window, like the discord invite? Those can make steam think its still playing until you close those windows.

Good question. Just repoed it by opening the game, loading my save. Then I stood in one place for 30 seconds, and exited the game. Issue persists.

did it happen around the time the option to run in dx12 came out? might want to try using the old launch option

No, I don't use dx12. I think it might be the fact that I stream the game onto another PC. Sometimes when I stop it at the source PC it all closes, but not ALWAYS, ha.
