#build from storage

But thats already how it works?
only crafting machine storages aren't available for building/crafting, but that seems intentional
Ok, yeah. That is what I meant then. If that is intentional, I am not sure I understand the rationale, especially if a machine is right beside my storage in my habitat. It would be nice if it acted like regular storage, but no biggie.
No I get it, sometimes it's a bit weird to take out from their storage just to build, and I'm pretty sure I've seen that requested here before. My thinking is, since there are quite a few intermediate products that have different uses, you might not want to automatically use them from the machine's storage. But I'm sure beacon will have a look at this next week and explain his view. 🙂
I suppose we could have a toggle per machine like we do in the settings to auto pickup crafted items?
I see your point about not maybe not wanting to use intermediate sources. Seems like a logical reason to not allow it. In any case, minor things. Still having fun so far! 🙂
I thought this was so you actually have to interact with your machines and can't just use them without ever building any storage containers
Wouldn’t it be easier to allow build from machine storage and limit them to 50/100 etc instead of unlimited?
Or some kind of auto-collect drones machine -> free cargo storages
Drone will do the trick pickup crafted products from those machines not raw mats used for crafting but only re-worked mats , but then I guess all machines would need caped space to not cheese the game and use machines as endless storage.
I mean the game is also not a 500h Minecraft mod, I never felt like I needed to have 1000s of a certain material lying around, I mostly just went out and gathered what I needed and used it straight away.
