#when using consumables while casting, items are used but effects not applied

Additional Testing:
Druid - Vanilla/No Mods
Abilities test results: All casting animations, including Ring of Storms.
Food Buffs as original post pointed out.
Seaslimed Bracelet - Failed to apply Hydrated.
Treasure Map - Failed to give coordinates/consumed.
this happens because using a consumable starts the spell and then immediately removes the item, never checking if a spell cast is actually in effect, which is happening in the spell cast (that's why you're not getting the effect)
for brian: ItemIcon.UseConsumable()
Forgive me if this isn't the place to discuss-
I never noticed the near instant cast bar on consumable usage. Neat.
So are persistent effects like wearables/auras classified as something other than a spell? Appears to never give that instant cast bar.
Curious as to how they're different for the sake of finding solutions while considering game feel.
Since this will likely get looked at, I want to mention that maps should have a longer cast/reading animation that you can walk out of if you accidentally double consume. Accidental consumption of those is a pretty chunky loss of resources when you're starting out.
auras are considered effects that get auto refreshed (like status effects)
Flight of Foot 1 and 2 stacking seems weird then. I can see it overwriting or applying separately like a DoT. Anyway, thank you.
