#New to Swop

If you search help and advice there are some threads where I walked people through using swop for this team. Start there and if you have questions after reading through those and trying to follow then I’m happy to address specific questions you have in this thread
There is guild by sei, xenial and few other people
If not you can easily ask questions here and we can answer and help you figure it out
i know this doesn't answer the question, but this is a common question and i do want to point out
that in a large majority of cases, trying to swop julie damage is just not necessary at all
in most of the pve teams where she's used in, including kylegbah and several julie agrius dbah teams, even if you don't hit the required damage to 1 shot waves
the team still works. its just slower
and then the other side - there's no point in just hitting the dmg required and stopping there, you should rune her to do as much as possible. because that same julie pve build can oftentimes be used for julie galleon wgb team
so you still want to do as much damage as possible
my advice for all of these teams is to just rune it the best you can and try it
fuck swop
I honestly expected this answer the most and I did try rune her. But I do still get alot wrong and if I did understood it correctly swop was there to find those runes better. My original plan was to just see how it chosd those runes and copy the way so I understamd runes better
Cause like, I feel like it sucks having to ask simple questions if there is a guidd and I still dont 100% get it

runing damage dealers shouldn't be hard. you really need to sit down and figure it out
the more you try it, the easier it becomes
part of it is that you just have to be aware of what runes you have
if you jump straight to using swop
you will never know what your good runes actually are
and you'll always have to use swop for everything
even to make any small adjustments
becomes a big swop project again
damage dealers are easy because you have a specific speed you need to hit. and then usually 100 cr. and then from there you just try to balance out maximizing atk and cd
you only have to worry about half the stats in the game
Im reading through it rn tho again I do question where do I filter out those runes, since I didnt know about the +3/+6 thing before taking a rune in I have alot of runes with Cr rate Cr dmg/atk+ etc lying around, how can I filter out the good runes since I have almost a maxed out rune inv
slowly and 1 at a time
there is no fast and easy way to do this
it will take a lot of time
this is a major part of the game
and im actually rdy to time into this since It kinda sucks to get questioned by players how it is that my acc is from 2018 and I still dont have shit done
Like I feel extremely weird into the game with knowing half of what im doing/ having half of it done too since I got done with doing my runes for Necro but now I have done my Dungeons and I feel rlly clueless
if you enjoy it keep going, don't worry about how slow you are
work on things 1 at a time
if this stresses you out or you dread doing this
and keep delaying trying to learn
honestly the best advice is to find a different game
there's tons of games out there
a lot of people get suckered into this game for the monster summoning part, but there's really much more to this game than that
it's ok to realize this game is not what you thought it was
and if you just want to collect shiny monsters, that's cool too. but you don't need to ask anyone for help on collecting shiny monsters if that's all you want to do
the thing is, the fun part is doing the runes for each monster and pvping with it, and I did it with this guy guide aswell but I am just feeling rlly slow so I was thinking of using swop to learn but if you think it delays me further than I would just reread the guides
swop is a very useful tool but you need to learn how to rune things without it in order to truly be able to use it effectively
i wouldn't use swop for anything in #guides
@harsh prairie What would make sense to make with this new rune event?
I need to make a faster gbah team but I also have my pvp start ahead of me
What would you recommend?
there will be a post in #1049886722831429672 when the event starts
Alright I come back with having read the rune guides and the Pve guides
Quick question
It said 1:1 for CD and Atk but I might not understand that

Stats - Attack, CR, and CD
Attack, Crit Rate, and Crit Damage are the 3 main stats that contribute to the damage output of an average damage dealer. Out of these, CR is the most valuable as one of your main goals in PvE is to reach 100% CR on all your main damage dealers. Consistency is super important, PvE content isn't about beating anything just once, but to farm it repeatedly thousands of times.
Once you've reached your CR goals, you want to aim for about a 1:1 balance between bonus Atk and CD. For example, having +1600 Attack and 200 CD on a monster with 800 base attack would be a good balance. But just like HP and Def, don't worry too hard about trying to min-max this.
Some exceptions to keep in mind are monsters with skills that scale on other stats like Spd, HP, or Def (again - check swarfarm). There are skills that scale on both HP and Attack (ex. Vigor S3), as well as skills that scale on only HP and no attack at all (ex. Eshir S3). There are skills that scale on Atk but don't crit (ex. Kaki or bombers), but these aren't as relevant for PvE. For PvE specifically another big consideration are skills that scale on enemy max HP, like Spectra S2. Despite that skill scaling on both Atk and enemy max HP, the max HP part is a lot bigger due to the high health bars of most PvE bosses. This means that you would error a lot more on the side of CD rather than Atk when trying to maximize Spectra's damage.
Here 1:1 balance between bonus atk and CD
But wouldnt 1:1 be 220 CD:220Atk? Maybe im confused
It’s 1 cd%:1 bonus atk% not 1 raw atk number
Ahh ok ty
Does the % show anywhere or should I just add it from all the runes?
You do the math from the base attack
Ait
It also doesn’t have to be exact
Yeah you guys said I dont have to "balance it perfectly"
But I still wanted to make sure how I can have it in my brain
I usually do back of the napkin math by just figuring out what is 2x base attack and then compare to 200 cd at a baseline and see how close I am to both of those numbers
Also I wanted to ask about what runes to sell and what not. Rn I wanna make a kylehbah team and I am farming rage runes, does it makr sense to hyper focus on rage or should I still roll some +3/+6 on the other runes Necro has to offer, cause I fo get some tripple rolls spd and crit rate/dmg out of those sometimes
Cause I could still use those technically as broken runes for some stuff
Ahh so like if my mon has a base atk of 600 (just for thge example) you look at if you get it to 1200+atk and 200 cd to "balance it out"
And the closer you are to balancing that the better im guessing
Please don’t tag me in replies. I (or another advisor) will see your questions and come help when we have the time
Fuck I tagged you again
Yes that’s how I think about the math. But you’re better off having a ton more atk or cd with being out of balance than you are sticking to exactly balanced with lower stats. More stats is better. This just helps you min max which “more” you aim for if you have roughly equivalent choices
Don’t farm necro to rune pve teams. Fatal works for Kyle. Rage works for Kyle. Broken works for Kyle
Julie is my problem
If you’re at the point where you need to farm necro for PvP offsets and you’ve farmed everything before that step in #guides then go ahead and farm necro
Ahh so I csn just stick to Giants
But you should always be evaluating/rolling/selling all runes as you farm them
They could be useful broken or be a good rune you end up using later
If they just sit in your inventory they do you no good and waste space. If you sell them because they aren’t “what you were farming for” you’re robbing yourself of good runes
Would you recommend just sticking for Giants?
Julie is great on fatal or swift. She doesn’t need rage. A lot of her damage comes from artifacts btw
Yes we always recommend sticking to giants for rune farming if you aren’t sure what you need. But don’t neglect gems/grinds/artifacts
You will know it’s time for necro/dragons when you want to start doing other content that needs vio and set effect offsets and you don’t have any
7 days is a sneeze in this game
True that
Maybe I go farm artis
Have been neglecting those
But at the same time I have like 10 fighting runes and this is required for kylegbah
Im not sure what needs prio
You don’t need very good fight runes, you just need enough to give each mon 3 sets with the right speeds (and acc on prilea). If you can give prilea a good triple fight build with some damage it helps but isn’t required.
