#Questions from returning player

I'm a returning player after a 2 year break. I noticed that there are no nat 5s in any of the teams, which is obvious because it's supposed to be replicated by any other beginner. But the main question I have it, what nat 5s are good for GBAH? I run a GBAH team that works, but idk how consistent it is. The team is what follows: Bastet, Teshar, Savanna, Belladeon 2A, and Shannon. They complete the run in 2 mins on average. If I want to speed it up, what can I do?

wary heart

latent summitBOT

No non-fusable nat 5 monsters should be used during your progression through PvE. Building nat 5s will slow down your progress, as they are generally not useful in PvE. They excel more in PvP; stick to the guides for PvE.

For more information, see ?nat5explained in bot-commands.

narrow willow
# wary heart ?nat5

So what exactly should I do to speed up my runs? Change out everything and rebuild the entire GBAH team?

wary heart
#

See #guides . Start at ?gbah with the spectra team step and following the stat reqs that are listed there on each of your monster

#

Each of those units will be used everywhere in pve so its super important to make them be runed well

#

you can derune your gbah team as theyre only built for giants in this case which is a waste of rune quality

#

You can build whomie and galleon if you have them and make replacements if you have the rune reqs for them too

#

The team 5 gets around 1m average when met rune reqs and can get faster than that

narrow willow
#

Okay, thanks!

What does the "refine" button do for the artifact? Were the mechanics for them changed in the past? They don't seem to have the +lvl that runes

Also, what's the most optimal thing for me to do right now since I have returner buff? Just build monsters?

Second Awakening Priority

Once you get a Lumel 5 team up and running, it is always better to spend Dhole energy farming runes over making 2As - only make 2As when you need to build one.

  • During #guides : Kro → Spectra → Raoq → Lulu → Icaru/Vigor/Shamann
  • High Priority PvP: Eshir, Kahli, Bernard, Tractor, Chacha, Elucia, Jultan, Shren
  • Low Priority PvP: Copper, Bulldozer, Jubelle, Seren, Miho, Lala (last resort sr5 cleanser)

See ?dholeinfo for more information on dungeon teams and Lumel 5 team.

Is it good to use auto engrave for monsters or should they be runed manually? Also, is auto engrave similar to using SWOP?

wary heart
#

no, and no. the auto engrave just forces sets on what they think is good for your monster, but it's shit

#

this game is about runes, don't rely on swop for basic runing. learn how to rune your monsters

narrow willow
#

When would a 2,4,6 slot rune be considered keepable if the main stat is a flat stat like +atk or +def?

pseudo edge
#

slot 2 never. if slot 4 or 6, when there is SPD substat exist on legendary runes. if it rolls high u can use it on your ATK bar boosters

if it has high speed for your standards for 4/6

How important is this turn order? This is for team 2 from ?gbah
Shannon > Belladeon > 2aSpectra > Vero(L) > 2aKro

#

Mine goes like this:
2aSpectra > Vero > Shannon > Belladeon > 2aKro

timber bronze
#

imortant enough to mentioned the turn order

#

vero going before yr buffer and def breaker, doesnt make sense

#

spectra is less important if he's slightly faster

narrow willow
timber bronze
#

vero only needs to be 180 cmb spd

#

so him being at 200, is 20 more spd than he needs

narrow willow
#

👌, I'll change that, thanks!

wary heart
#

Dont forget to factor in the speed skill from your summoner skills

#

At 15% max he effectiely starts at 115 speed

narrow willow
narrow willow
#

Are there any monsters that would use slot 6 Acc main stat rune?

#

As in, should I keep those types of runes?

wary heart
#

Yes, those are niche and typically want speed on them. but a lot of units can use them, even damage dealers who want max 85% acc. They're not something you'd use for pve though

Lumel 5 (Cliff of Tough Beast Men) Guide

Turn Order: 2aVigor/Fran > Veromos (L) > 2aRaoq

  • [Veromos] (L) - Spd/CD/HP or Def, 180 cmb spd, 100% CR, 125k eHP, 45% Acc
  • [Fran] - Spd/HP/HP or Def, 200 cmb spd, +25k HP, 1500 total Def, 45% Acc. See ?riftstats
  • [2aRaoq] - Atk/CD/Atk, 169 cmb spd, 100% CR, 120k eHP, 35% Acc
  • [2aVigor] - Violent/Swift or broken, Spd/HP/HP, 200 cmb spd, 35% Acc, as tanky as possible

Information

  • ?bossfocus is straight boss for all 3 waves.
  • This dungeon team should be done closer to starting PvP since Lumel drops desirable PvP offsets (Will, Destroy, Vampire).
  • Vigor does not need any Attack or Crit stats. However, Vigor is a very important PvP monster especially in Siege and you should eventually be moving him on Violent as soon as possible post-PvE.
  • Overall the dungeon is not relatively too hard to farm and is considered the easiest DHole rune dungeon out of all others.
  • Can see ?dholeinfo for general information on Dimension Hole.

Rift Beast Stats

==============
Monsters used depends on which rift your doing. 90% SSS rate on Water Rift can be considered acceptable to start farming.

  • Frontline: Fran and Mav will Frontline for all rifts

  • Fran - SPD/DEF/HP, 1.5k def, +15k hp, 200 spd, low CR, 2 def artifacts

  • Fran does want some ATT but this comes after meeting minimum req's above

  • Mav - SPD/DEF/HP, 1.5k def, +15k hp, 180 spd, 45% acc, low CR, 2 def artifacts

  • Fran should be on Vio, get enough free Vio runes to make this happen

  • Mav can be on vio also but if he cant, then use what gets him the required stats

  • The accuracy and CR requirements are for ?toa , as accuracy in rift beast is not important.

  • Backline:

  • Lapis - [SPD-ATT]/CD/ATT, 180 SPD after Speed Skill and Leader Skill, 85% CR, balance of ATT/CD, attack artifacts

  • Can reuse some of the free +15 vamp runes from ?farmer as a base

  • Kro(2A) - ATT/CD/ATT, 140 SPD, 100% CR, balance of ATK/CD and stats needed for ?gbah , NOT on violent

  • Twins - see Damage Dealer below

  • If using talia lead, CR can drop to 76%

  • **Damage Dealers **- ATT/CD/ATT 140+ spd, 100% CR

  • +200% attack and 170 CD is usually enough for SSS all rifts no fail

  • Ardella only needs 75% CR due to passive to reach 100% CR

Don’t “keep” anything except maybe legend quality grinds on premium stats and sets (vio spd hp% def% atk%, swift spd, etc). Every grind you drop when farming r5, you should immediately see what rune you are currently using that can take that grind

if you're not sure what to get, don't worry about this event at all. it's still same RNG as if you get a normal summoning rotation, you should be working based on your needs of certain monsters

there's no such thing as "preparing" in pvp

you build stuff to counter stuff, not the other way around

narrow willow

Oh okay, I guess I'll save for now, thanks!

also, even if you're close to finishing pve, farming to start doing pvp is a whole other story

ie. you spend 2 months to finish pve, you spend another 2 months to farm to start pvp

u need runes to be able to get on that level

Rift Raid level 5, solo (SR5)

BJ5 (Baleygr Janssen R5) is dead. This was a very specific and difficult to build team with tight requirements that allowed for consistent and fast R5 runs. It's not dead as in it doesn't work, it still works just fine. It's just dead as in no one runs it. In order to run BJ5 raids you have to find 2 other real people who also have BJ5 teams, and since now SR5 (solo R5) exists and players can raid all by themselves, all players who get through progression are no longer going to be searching for BJ5 raiding buddies.

For a period of time it still made sense to start with a BJ5 team and then progress to SR5. SR5 was harder since you needed 3 teams, and you could even use the BJ5 team as 1 of the 3 teams. Perfect stepping stone. But then they greatly nerfed the difficulty of R5, making it very reasonable to jump straight to a 3 team SR5 without doing BJ5 first.

It's not even recommended to fuse a Bale anymore at all for new players, although if you already have a Bale, he's still a good option to use as a DD in one of your 3 teams.

There are several speed SR5 teams requiring specific monsters with certain tunings and runesets. For example you may see some with a Bale team, a dog team, and a twins team. These work just fine as well, but can be pretty tough to build, and is not what I'm going to be discussing here. My suggestion for a SR5 team is simply to use 3 "regular" R5 teams. Basically, the types of teams people built before BJ5 existed. 3 Individual teams that each have sustain/cleanse, damage, and debuffs to safely beat the boss.

The advantage of 3 regular R5 teams is that it's easy - rune requirements are much lower than a speed SR5 team, nothing needs to be tuned in any particular way, and the goal is to re-use units that you're already using elsewhere. It's super customizable and there are no must-have monsters in this kind of team.
