i assure you both methods do work
comes down to typically 2 things
mistakes made by the player
incorrect rune/underruned issue
tough raft

this is one of two reasons
#1 - you didn't put vero on full tank (should be all hp% or def% slot 2/4/6)
#2 - your fran has too low attack and should be switched to atk% for one rune

i'm positive it's not a rune thing either, the runes i used were not good, i firmly believe this stage is doable with ?justdoit runes as long as sig has a spd slot 2

[Dark Tank Method (Recommended) ][Veromos (L), Shannon, Fran, Sigmarus, Loren/Mav]
* Switch Veromos to HP or DEF/HP or DEF/HP or DEF with a little bit of speed for this stage. He needs to be able to survive the Akromas.
* Kill the Zaiross/Chloe then keep Veromos alive with your Fran and Shannon while you damage the Akromas. He will draw their attacks since the AI targets Dark element.
* Loren works for normal, while Mav becomes more valuable for hard with his cooldown reduction
* If Fran is not able to sustain Veromos, you can switch her to an ATK% rune in one slot. It makes the trash waves leading up to the boss a little bit more tricky, but makes Fran always have plenty of healing.
* Why vero? because he's already built for gb12 and offers good damage during waves and stun chance
[Garo Method ][Fran (L), Loren, Sigmarus, Spectra, Garo]
* Equip your Garo (at any level) with only +15 42 SPD slot 2. You just need to carry Garo to the last stage, kill Zaiross/Chloe with your other monsters, then AFK and let Garo solo the Akromas.
* His passive allows him to prevent dying and cut in-between the Akromas.
