So im farming gb12 a lot right and i have some set rules like swift blue they need to have speed sub + another useful stat like hp% and they have to roll twice into swift or like fatal runes have to have attack/cd/cr in fourth slot and blue ones need to have two good fatal subs etc.. and similar for crit rate.

But i have no idea how to evaluate despair runes. which ones should i sell/keep/roll to see the stats i get?

your rules are already way too strict

#

don't make rules

#

compare runes to what you currently have, and also what you see other people using

#

show and ask about specific rune examples

#

i mean my rules arent even that strict compared to most ppl

#

like i keep blue runes even

you don't have to compare yourself to newbs who are even worse than you

#

your rules are strict.

#

you are just stunting your own progression

???

#

how are my rules strict

#

speed runes need speed subs

#

and if its a blue speed rune

#

it better roll twice into speed

#

and whats the point of having a fatal hp slot 4

#

the whole point of fatal is to do damage

#

like i dont see how my rules are "strict"

because your under the assumption that you have the rune depth to make these unnecessary absurd rules for yourself right now

simple phoenix
#

well i only have around 10 ish monsters im using regularly so yea i do have the rune depth only for slots 1,3,5

#

whenever i get a % in slot 2,4,6 i usually keep it

#

because i need more of those

# simple phoenix and whats the point of having a fatal hp slot 4

this really depends on what your runes look like
for me, i've been done with pve for a very long time
i'd keep a blue fatal rune with hp% and 6 speed. my hp% speed depth is low.
either way, the point here is to make rules based on what is positive for your account!
not all runes need to be "speed" runes either - it's good to have runes with good stat distribution.
it's sort of difficult to give you an exact way to evaluate despair runes outside of the guidelines that probsz gives in his rune guide where we explains some good stat combinations
you have to do what is most appropriate for your account progression!

#

remember that broken runes always have their uses also!

btw I just was looking through your first post
swift runes do not need to have a speed sub to be usable, especially not on a new account
you could have a swift rune with crate, cdmg, atk% and acc% that would be very desirable for some swift DDs
remember also if you need to you can also gem speed if necessary

there is no points of having a fatal or rage hp% s6... tell me one mon that needs that.

there are things there you could learn if you haven't!

there's 2 concepts that most people fail to understand here

#
  1. 99% of monsters in this game need a balance of multiple stats. it's never about stacking as much as you can of any 1 particular stat. there's no difference between a stat that comes from a set bonus, main stat, or substat. all this is to say - when people ask "when would i use a fatal slot 6 hp rune?" try rephrasing that to "what monster needs both hp and atk?" because that is essentially what you're asking. and when phrased that way you can see how there are actually hundreds of monsters that would benefit
#
  1. even end game players still use broken runes. that means that a rune's set alone can never make it useless.
#

people try too hard to chase the "perfect" rune in this game, while the reality is that even the best players don't have perfect runes. this game is about building dozens of different teams for different content, using hundreds of different monsters, using thousands of different runes. there's no way you'll accomplish anything if you set your standards too high.
