What runes to keep or sell continued, with examples of bad advice
Here's a specific example rune I'll show and talk about a little: I farmed this fatal rune and put in on my Sig, since I stole his free quest rune to rune up Verde.
"blue runes are instasell" - Nope, blue runes are great. I'm going to be using this rune for a very long time, even into end game siege PvP. At that point it's still usable for a fat nuker like Kahli or Covenant.
"runes with no spd sub or spd innate are unusable" - Most monsters in the game don't need to be super fast. Some tanks and nukers don't need any. There's also Leo. Spd can be gemmed in. Or just consider that every monster can have 6 runes, so not every rune needs to have all the stats the monster needs.
"multiple flat stats on a rune makes it worthless"- Sometimes just having 1 strong substat on a rune (in this case, CD on a slot 6 fatal atk) is enough to make it usable and it doesn't matter how bad the rest of the rune is.
"low rolls are bad"- I hate this negative outlook people have where people seem to consider anything that's not a max roll to be a "low roll" and "useless". It's still stats and it still helps.
So if everything is usable, how do I not end up with the problem of keeping everything? The solution and only guideline to follow is this: aim to improve your runes based on what you currently have, rather than using someone else's arbitrary standard. If you start collecting a lot of similar runes in your inventory, that's when you know you need to up your standards for those kinds of runes and start selling off the worst ones.
As long as a rune has potential to be better than what you currently have, you roll it until it loses that potential. If your fastest slot 1 swift in your inventory is 15 speed, you need to be rolling every blue slot 1 swift rune with a spd sub that you see.
