#Make random mission highlights on map actually meaningful

It’s there. Likely someone has already come by and killed what you’re looking for, or maybe the elevation is wrong. But the circles are accurate at the beginning on the match. However they are not a live update.
These are in PvE, so no-one has been there first, and it might be in a trailer, for example - with strictly limited locations, with nothign in them
i dont understand the second half of that. what does the trailer have to do with anything
Not "the trailer" 🙂 Various accommodation trailers scattered over the maps - the one that brassed me off enough to write was on Sheg - all it had was 1 cupboard, 1 box and 3 coats to search - supposedly a vinyl LP was in one of those....... spoiler - it wasn't
Items that are not for a story quest/ investigation, like helmet liners, water samples, etc are never guaranteed to be in a container. I’ve also never seen a circle for items only for monster spawns. Items are traditionally marked with a backpack or something similar.
I’m assuming you’re doing the helmet investigation where you need 15 vinyls. You just need to search everything, they are a rarer item that can spawn in most containers. I’ve never seen them marked by a quest. Ms. Second marks the map occasionally but that is unrelated to quest and should be ignored.
Yes I am searching all containers - this was a circle of the same colour as the objective in my mission log for that mission, and with a "4" inside it indicating it was for the 4th objective for this mission - which was that investigation item - it was very specific.
So my point is that it should never appear if it isn't "real"
I think there was a mistake when looking at the circle, because as I’ve stated before that mission does not put circles on the map. Only kill/place& protect missions get circles
It's a "hint" circle like the ones Ms Second gives
