How Do I Obtain the Knife Master Chronogene?

I've looked at the recipes in game and for guides online, I haven't found the answer to what should be a very simple question.

I don't see "knife master" - do you mean melee??

If you scroll through the chronogenes it's a special ability gene, like Parkour, and Night Owl.
