I searched the entire police station (there was no marker on the map), found the safe, but there was nothing in it. Am I missing something to do the mission?

i've seen someone else reporting the same. They also had a red script error appear at the start. seems to be a bug that happens to some players. may be worth a #🪲・report-a-bug
You should have 2 markers on the map, for the key and the item to extract. If they don't appear, it seems the items haven't spawned due to a bug
