#Space Marine II

Canis Rex is pretty dope. Slow though
Gotta deploy him right. I learned that the hard way.
dont get me wrong, its a cool army in theory but in practice its difficult to justify in this edition
Oh yea. I was thinking about buying an army for so many months. Then I was playing rogue trade and the codex cam out and I said fuck it without doing a lot of research.
But no regrets I'm not playing for the competitive meta.
Ill have imperial knights for that.
It's my very first foray into minis.
oh congrats! all i can do is apologies for the state GW sells their sprues in now, they used to be a lot easier to put together
So far it's been OK. The deatchwatch veteran with the warhammer was rough. Tiny wrist point attach to a hammer and then to the shoulders. I fucked it up cuz the didn't dry quick enough and was hard to hold. Ended up having to shorten the hammer stave.
But otherwise it's been great.
that's good to hear
That's so far in order of what I've painted.
From first to last.
Next is the rogue traders then deathwatch then sisters and then breachers and arbiter subduction
Magnetized the corvus too
nice work! thats some pretty good going with the painting
Do you use superglue?
I had that problem with the HTH until i switched to Tamiya plastic cement
Best game as a heavy
I haven't tried Tamiya but I have AK plastic cement and it's almost worse. If I fuck up holding it long enough before it sets...then I've lost a bunch of plastic to melting and now it's harder to make a 2nd attempt. The only thing I can see workng is that stuff that immedietly sets under UV light
Thanks! I watched months and months of painting videos before I was brave enough to buy a set and start painting
Tamiya gives you a minute or so with a thin coat
With a heavy coat you can get it to like 2 mins for the big stuff like tanks
Once i switched to tamiya my hammers stopped falling off
The idea is I wanted it set quickly so I don't have to hold tiny attach points like wrists to hammers
Itll hold at about 15 seconds or so with small stuff
yeah the plastic glue that melts the plastic together is really useful for making minis super durable, on the other hand it does make it a bit of a pain if you want to re-use a base on another model
Yea I 've heard that, I definietly super glue for bases
and cement for most other things
For attaching the base i scuff the bottom of the mini
yes but if the base and the model have fused it becomes very tricky to get it off the base which was my point, ive had a few old models whos bases ive wanted to take off and use on a new project and i either get about 2mm's of extra plastic on the base or the base snaps in half and stays attached
Yea I've hard if you super glue, and then pop the mini in the freezer you can take it off the base easily
yeah, thats not a bad shout they might break off the base on occasion but its not exactly difficult to fix that
I do the basing of most my minis first with cork, so if its messed up its easy to tear the cork off
Downside is dropping them usually does the trick too
id like nice bases like that, but i can never decide on what to actually base them on, might do some fancy bases if/when i start my Sons od Malice force
I have yet to do anything with the bases I have no clue what I wanna do
same here, my entire space marine company is on the normal black bases
cool
Just as a curious question. I wonder how many points an average chapter is worth on the table. like a whole chapter.
The hard part of that is there is no official amount given for the tanks, support crew, command, vehicle pilots, etc
But for 10 squads for 10 companies, the baseline is 16000 points
Thats with just Intercessors. So itll be slightly different wirh 1st company being vets and termies, and 9th and 10th being scout/neophyte" comanies
Interesting. Thank you

Thank you and the big update came today but I had a course and didn't really have time to play it yet is it any good?
The new operation is so good
I played it on ruthless too and it's a good difficulty without being impossible [if you're level 25]
Oh and they added gold as a main colour 😄

hey we need a third for ops if anyone can join
How is the new content? I haven't played any
Room for 1 for ops if anyone is on.
New mission is fun.
I just had 6 zoanthropes on a level 1 mission. The spawn rates are a little borked right now, but yes, new mission fun
Spawner is bugged.
I heard about the zthropes issue but did not notice myself when my son and I were playing.
I haven’t had many pop.
they said they fixed that 6 zoanthropes thing
weird
they did fix the rolling, apparently it was a bug that shortened the roll distance
THey responded to that question. apparently the roll distance was not changed.
Yes it wasn't but there was a bug affecting it. It's in the 4.1 patch notes.
Gotcha.
Whatse everyone up to
About to start this build
Sweet
Nice!
I need someone in my life to stage an intervention...cuz I haven't finished painting my two battleforce sets (one is 90% done)...and I just bought a combat patrol and two navy breather squads
Breacher*
The tau seemed like a pain to paint
Other colour schemes are probably easier than the white and black though
How is the new pistol?
It’s okay. I wouldn’t right home about it. It seems to melt bosses (if you have more than one).
Really bad till you get the purple leve. Ass Tyszka said it has a "cumulative damage" effect. So if more than one player is hitting the same enemy with it it will take more and more damage faster.
I find now that it's decent at taking out small hordes.
^ it shreds carnifexs….it’s nutty.
That thing is awesome
Hmm
The key to eyes is a titanium white base.
Pro acryl makes a damn good white
Feel free to toss me an add, always looking to play with peeps on this. =3
