HOLLY FUCK!! I just watched the video too and I am actually excited!! I haven't play GZW since the AO closed. It is going to suck having to redo all the tasks but I am excited for this new chapter and beginning! I remember how rough the game was when it first came out and I am glad the devs are putting some serious work into this. This makes me want to get back into the game and see what it has to offer!

You usually get repeat Main tasks to repop when you still need rep in an area to unlock an new spot as well.
It's so you can keep gaining rep without being stuck doing ONLY contracts to whole time.

Is it just me or do the AI really fuck you up in this game. I’ve died a few times to just one bullet to the face with no chance of aiming back. Then I got shot like 7 times once, 3 in one arm and 4 in the other and was fucking brutal.

I have question for y'all. I know there will eventually be a wipe in game. I did not know it wiped everything, even vendors. Do y'all enjoy, playing the same missions, with the same weapons and having to grind the same thing over and over? I love Division and I know its similar, but if an update comes out, I don't lose everything. What is it about that game loop you enjoy? I mean if a lot is added after the wipe it could make sense. They claim its to "keep the game fresh" but how is taking everything just so you can get it back keeping anything fresh...am I missing something here?

The loop has changed enough to keep me engaged. They posted that on their updates too. Before it was missions, done. Now they really are working towards a real loop of, start, enjoy, explore.grind a bit for end game tasks... Then we are missing the actual end game lore for now but it's coming

the wipes are more for the fact that they add and change things, sometimes item codes change entirely so instead of handing back a broken inventory its easier to wipe.

The loop is fun. This update has won me over again. Almost a year less a few weeks I broke my leg and got this game to pass the time and a year later I'm back again. It's a great update. Not perfect but no game is. It truly is closer to that first person ghost recon fever dream I want

I think once the major iteration of features is done the wipes will end. In truth there is far less content than EFT in GZW so the wipes are less of a concern to me.

If both games were back at the same stage... I'd rather play grayzone in 0.4 than tarkov and roughly the same lol. Least I like dying sometimes as its quick to get back in in grayzone

That would be nice for the game to just have an ever growing in home loop and economy, instead of wiping every 6 months. Currently its catering to hardcore grinders and I work full time, I csn only play a few hours a day when I'm off really. Not to mention I'm only level 15 in game and its sort of already getting repetitive for me. It plays well and I like a lot about it. I know its early access still and I'm looking forward to see what the future brings. As it stands now though, ehh its losing me already. Playing solo is just ehh.

There were no monsters in roadside picnic, just aliens that visited and their crafts left radiation, anomalies, and artifacts

Stalker just took inspiration from the anomalies and artifacts and applied it to the Chernobyl incident. More than likely based on the dev streams, ground zero will just be high rad requiring CBRN equipment and dealing with anomalies and PvPvE to grab artifacts

I made it out of Fort Narith solo yesterday with a lot of good gear and items and a solid M4A1. Ended up limping out with 2 messed up legs and no splints, lol it was slow going, but I made it, found some splints on the way. Had the storage rm key, so lots of goodies. I think tasks are just a way to progress the game and learn the map, it also encourages you to explore to find some of the hidden tasks.

Was playing a match in PVP. Got into Midnight Saphire. Started looting and saw someone named XIAO_ running up to me with nothing but a knife. He then proceeded to lock me in a bathroom and when i tried to get out, he started to knife me to kill me. I shot back to defend myself. He then respawned twice to come after me again, again I defended myself. The next time he came at me with a shotgun, I could not kill him off and he proceeded to kill me, take my stuff and then run back to the COP. I tried to stop him again but was kicked on the last time for TKing

I really e joy it. Pvp is fun I enjoy helping people with stuff, keys etc. Won't lie you'll die in pvp and like tarkov you'll go... Hmm maybe cheating... They do exist but 9/10 it was you being silly. Pve is super chill. I treat Pve like some kind of ghost recon game. Give yourself challenges with different guns etc. Don't rush enjoy the ride or you'll be running in and out of the fort trying to level up banshee to level 4 for days because you rushed it all.... Me. Least I can play the game now lol

Its a solid game so far, I feel like the difficulty definitely jumps up from the starter zone but the pve experience has been pretty solid. Only thing that frustrates me is the tasks being vague so I have to look up how to do them alot of the time to find the tiny note that moves the task forward.
