what is it like?

Very methodical, you have to really weigh each decision, place yourself wrongly and you can die fairly quickly. Its a game that really makes you pay for your mistakes. When the firefights kick off they don't last long, but a lot of times the suspects are stupid fast to react, you almost have to train yourself to be superhuman fast and dead accurate. Its a blast, but can be stressful in that edge of your seat kind of way. Unlike Arma everything is pretty much close quarters, and most fights occur within 10 or so feet. Its the title I choose when I need my CQC fix.

You can develop relationships, your choices literally effect each game. Its an older trilogy, but the remaster is beautiful. My all time favorite game hands down.

and to that I say suspects are literally on crack and just start blasting most of the time, this game is a violent FPS shooter lol, that and a lot of the arrest animations already are quite rough with people
In SWAT4's Sherrif Special forces mod, if you got within melee distance of a suspect with cuffs equipped you could immediately cuff and arrest them, even without them surrendering, to mimic a takedown

We've gone back to suspects sprinting sideways whilst also maintaining full accuracy
I played one of the new DLC missions with stewart yesterday and it genuinely felt like I was just playing a game of CoD team deathmatch
