The one in Gadgetzan was for an easy access for a special spell. But part of the Main quest did take you through there as well.

Its not to hard. Right now there are a creap ton of catch up mechanics.

Some people are even leveling new characters in 3-4 hours from 10-70.

Plus the gear drops are easy in many different ways and the new warband stuff is awseome to help alts.

These are normally the times to catch up if you have been away for a while.

Im split between the "you can easily level from 1 to 60 in 4 hours" boost because i like to take my time somewhat to complete an area, then move to another area

not saying i cant, i just feel rushed or that leveling so quickly makes me feel overwhelmed

but i also feel like i would rather just be getting close to the end-game content too, just skip all the mediocre content inbetween

Remember, if you already have current characters Alliance or Horde they can still join the guild no matter what shard you are on.

In patch 10.1 they allowed cross faction guilds, and now in 11.0.2 they did away with server/shards.

I remember playing classic before Burning Crusade, you had to be on the same server as your friend(s) to play together and such. Seeing WoW allowing cross-realm play then just doing away with that has been really amazing

There are a lot more solo friendly ways to get gear and a lot more alt friendly stuff now as well.

I feel like if you are a classic player, there is 100% something for you in midnight. I specialize in helping people get through that initial information dump and point them in the right direction. Theres literally no wrong way to play retail. 🙂

I feel like the content in retail WoW is so, overwhelming sort of. I havent played retail since WoD though but even then, just leveling and progressing through all the content feels like a lot to learn. But thats just me

Good thing about the WoW expansions is they come out about every 2yrs so you wont have to worry about rushing to finish the expansion. So if you want to get a fresh start in WoW and buy the newest expansion, now is a good time.
