Consolidating is a life safer with that.

For Germany I use the 5 Army XP from Rhineland to make a 2 width inf division to spam

I convert them slowly to my main division as I get equipment. Others get an extra 2 battalion for a 6w line holder until I can go all the way.

Just slowly convert divisions over to your main infantry division as you need to for manpower requirements.

RNG can be manipulated in a sence with Historical AI. Even exploited to a point you don't have to give Germany the Sudetenland. It's the combat that gives issues to me

30W Tank divisions with a total of at least 30 organization are the current go to for tanks

#

21W Infantry are the go to attacking infantry or sometime this big boy if your a major and can afford it

for planes agility is the key stat to avoid getting hit land based AA, division AA or enemy fighters

#

Support company AA is basically mandatory enless you have complete control of the skies 24/7. Engineers are for defense and attacking into rough terrain/naval invading

10W are cheap line holders and port guards.

You can force deploy an entire army of 10W very quick

Most people only use 1 infantry template the entire game and thats a big mistake. You can use pure 18W infantry for defense and make 21W or 27W infantry for attacking if you cant afford tanks and motorized

generally if you are focusing on your army, you will have between 4-7 different templates active at all times

Ok so I have ran 2 historical German games on ironman/historical/veteran difficulty. So Poland is super weak for some reason. I am able to take warsaw and capitulate in a matter of in game days. They put up no fight at all both times. Not sure whats up with that but its only happening with Poland so far.

So Denmark will capitulate as soon as you start to invade them it seems and offer to become a puppet which is pretty cool. Same with Norway. Havn't invaded Sweden or Finland yet.

I'm currently reading this book which is really damn good. The Italians weren't nearly as bad as people say. The plane on the cover is a Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 Sparviero. It was a medium bomber used for everything. Probably the best Italian plane of the war. Italy starts off with this in game. I think it may be the only Tac bomber in the game that starts with a torpedo.

I mean they really weren't. People make them out to be useless which is far from the case. The army was the worst branch by far though. Italy had a problem in that around 40% of their population was peasants.

For anyone having trouble with the new navy meta this is it.

Basically light cruisers with as many CL turrets and max armour. ie Armoured Light Cruisers.

Make a couple of very cheap CLs with lots of spotting ie scout planes/radar and put them on patrol set to do not engage. They will find the enemy fleets. Have your battle fleet set to either patrol or strike force so they can attack the fleets that were found.

It was an interesting game. We had me and Becks cooping Germany. We focused on early mils so we could have enough infantry to cover our minor axis partners.

Germany
Italy
Hungary
Finland
Spain
Saudia Arabia - Was knocked out the first month of the war despite me sending 24 infantry divisions pre war. We gave him a bunch of expeditionary forces to keep him playing. We freed him in 1942.
El Salvador - Gobbled all of central america and Mexico up. Took Panama Canal when WW2 kicked off.
