Gunna take my reclaimer out for a spin today at some point. Have to meet with my mother and sister in law for the moms bday brunch. I'm not super upset since it'll be dimsum. But that takes away from my launch time which seems to never finish.

I went to play reclaimer the other day and launched from area 18, got ready to jump to my salvage point and realized I forgot my multitool in a diff armor that I failed to requip. Had to land and find it before jumping in HLL to help cadre and then before I knew it the time vanished, it was 2AM and I had to be up for a 9AM chiropractic appointment. Fml

Not sure if you've played since 3.19 but They updated it in 3.19 and you can now strip ships of their components.

I upgraded my prospector to a vulture and go searching for wrecks rather than doing contracts. I find it more adventerous and you often discover some cool things.

@austere mountain What I have been doing in my Vulture is taking one of the cheap salvage missions for like 1000 or 5000 credits. Then go to the location of the mission and fly towards the area it is in. I have about a 90% success rate in finding something better to salvage like a field of panels or a large ship such as a C2 on my way to the actual mission location. Give it a try and see if it works for you as well. You'll only be out some wasted time and a few credits but I think you may be surprised with the results!

Anyone got an idea what I'm doing run? I keep loosing money. I'm not grinding anything really, just do waste and package runs + medical requests most of the time. Beryl from Ryder outpost to area 18 always does a profit or gold from scd 1 on daymar or smo 18 to area 18. Though be aware gold can be small amounts due to how good it is and also pirates. Though if your lucky outpost can have a good amount of gold in it.

You could sit on a mining station pad, pull empty ones off, repair, and so on unitl you've got a fair few, then chuck em in a cargo ship.

I was flying in a new group last night and they do a lot of varied stuff together. They asked me to come and provide security for a Herc that was sitting on jumptown waiting for the 10 min restock to happen. And then i went ahead and checked Brio Breaker's was clear of anyone before he went to sell. They paid me 30 k for my services which came out of their org money.

I'm reading that quan is harder to find these days

I feel if we did multicrew it would be beneficial to focus on tier 1 ore since we'd have the crew. And we can split up into teams with a few ships to help scan for good ore, place gadgets, and then pile into the MOLE to maximize the time spent on finding and mining

Or just pile in all together on the get go and land more frequently which isn't a big deal 😂

I'm stoked to see how it pans out, do a few good runs and haul it over with the C2

I think with a full crew we should average 500k - 1m an hour easily to start, or more if we figure it all out quicker

Right now there are only two mining ships that im aware of. The MOLE and Prospector. MOLE retails for $315 and the Prospector $155.

In game they vary in price. I think the MOLE was just over $5M aUEC and the Prospector was around $2M aUEC

I can cover the cost of a fleet for all of us to start out then just hammer out jobs to replenish the bank

It would be adventageous for us to put a mining fleet together. We could have a mole or prospector combo running with a cargo crew running as well

I think resources have to be refined by a mining vessel. So if we had one crew working the ore then the other in the same ship transporting and refining that would get us a good rhythm going 😂

My thoughts are with regard to mining (and they can be wrong so we can adjust the thought process). But depending on who comes there should be a pay scale. We could easily split the resources evenly. Or divy them up according to what was done.

Overhead for flying isn't huge once you have a vessel. Just refuelling costs mostly and the attachments.

I feel mining is far more intensive

its separate from the persistent universe, you can play FPS (ground) or space combat, no real impact on your ships or characters, you fight AI or other players

mostly we been doing vanduul swarm and pirate waves where you do 9-10 continuous waves of fighting enemies (kind of like horde mode in gears of war) and you get titles from beating it, and the opportunity to purchase specific ships

the constellation andromeda has 96 scu of cargo space (which is a fair amount) and it packs a wallop of a punch as its listed as a gunship

there are a few variants of the constellation that all have different components and capabilities

some have more cargo less firepower etc

Standard troubleshooting tips:

Logout of RSI Launcher and close Launcher from Task Bar.

Make sure you have space on your installation disk (SSD). The game is ~90gb in size.

Delete entire 'User' folder in your SC installation directory: \Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizen\LIVE

Delete the contents of the Temp folder: \Windows\Temp

Delete 'Star Citizen' folder in: \Users\ <your user name> \AppData\Local

Delete 'RSI Launcher' and/or 'rsilauncher' folder in: \Users\ <your user name> \AppData\Roaming

Turn off any VPNs or anti-virus (don't forget to re-enable after fixed).

Relaunch RSI Launcher by right clicking on shortcut and 'Run as administrator'.

When in launcher, press Left Shift, Left Ctrl, Left Alt and R to reset launcher.

Login, then under 'Settings', press 'Verify' button.

Try running again.

Progress Tracker

The following deliverables have been added to Progress Tracker:

New Missions – Steal Evidence

A criminal mission type where players are tasked with infiltrating Security Post Kareah and stealing files from Crusader Security for a hefty payout.

New Missions – Cargo Hauling

Making use of the Freight Elevators feature, this mission type will have players hauling large quantities of cargo to earn both aUEC and reputation.

New Missions – Steal/Recover Cargo

Steal/Recover Cargo missions will see players recovering and/or stealing cargo from both derelict and active ships, then hauling the cargo to its intended destination.

New Missions – Restoration Contracts

Utilizing the Repair functionality of the multi-tool salvage attachment, players are tasked to restore ships from bow to stern, patching up the hull, replacing missing or faulty internal components, and replacing weapon loadouts in new salvage yard locations.

Reputation – Shop Discounts

Players will have the ability to receive discounts in certain shops based on their reputation with affiliated organizations.

Reputation – Hostility

Players will encounter AI that are either friendly or hostile based on their reputation with the organization the AI belong to. This also includes different friendly-fire thresholds and defense responses.

Reputation – Sandbox Triggers

This feature will allow for players to have their reputation increase or decrease with organizations based on their actions in the persistent universe, separate from missions. This in turn will either allow or prevent players from accepting missions for particular organizations.

Little update: Modified the Mining Division Operations tracker with some QOL things due to the current and forcasted increase in active players

If you are participating in mining feel free to use the tracker to check current ore prices per SCU, and to assist with the dispersal of refined financial return
