@glacial stump i have the issue with the Identity Service related to Player IDs, which is revealed through the error 40014, that this patch and wipe fixes, as in i have no access to the online part of the game, so i am looking forward to getting the first patch that makes me even be able to play.

Seem that 3.18.1 PTU has ended and has gone over to 3.18.2, so im speculating that 3.18.1 probably coming out for the next release cycle. what day of the week do the patch usually release?

There's a few people in my community that have called out one of the i's as an alternative. 400i, or 600i; I don't recall which.

Always take the precaution of having people in chairs or lying down on the floor when going in and out of quantum.

My final answer was the carrack. I looked at in game prices. The c2 is like 4.5mil

I can grind that over time, and the carrack is just a fun ship

We tried it with the A2. I think we decided you can fit 6 ok. You could do more, but it gets a little shady. Two points that sucked was the MOAB launchers at the back of the A2 and the nose turret dropped down. The thing we liked the most about the Hercules is that it has an entrance and exit. I think if anyone was serious about a snub carrier the caterpillar is the way to go. It gives an entrance and exit for each pod for quick launch and recovery. The thing I don’t like about the Carrack is one way in and out so people are playing the clown car game adjusting after recovery for launch. The plus side you get med bed. The Fury does do some weird things once you hit a ships gravity. I had one jump up and hit the top of the Corsair’s cargo bay. Then I immediately fell out of the snub and DCed and apparently walked out of the back of the ship being lost in Orson gravity.

The thing with the carrack from what I saw is the "gravity well" (for lack of a better term) extends a little bit out side of the top hanger door so people can land and hangout on top of that while I qts.

A surprise is the big misc refueler. You can get rid of some of the pods and where they were can act in the same way. Then you have a way to refuel and launch the snubs

I love the c2, but my reasoning is it's alot cheaper to buy in game and I can still do everything with the carrack I can with the c2. It's also just a cooler ship. It's a fun one to just run around the verse

anybody willing to help find out why im lagging when joining servers...i have played the game on this exact system with no issues but also its been about a year since i have. yea i dont have the greatest internet but it never stopped me before like now.

Try switching servers, deleting your cache, make sure you're on a solid state, and close things like chrome and anti virus software - they take up a ton of RAM

Lowering your gfx quality in game to medium, I think is the best as well.

Remove volumetric clouds completely

That's everything I can think of off the top of my head

When you log into use r_displayinfo 1, and look at the server lag

Might be the area is overwhelmed with lingering assets

In which case it is possible it is a server side issue and not a client side issue

That happened to me when salvage was first introduced. I had a slide show, hitting F to interact couldn't even be done accurately

I know at least one of the members talks directly with CIG so we can highlight words that are needed in the lexicon, only because it came up not terribly long ago.

I collect missing words in a list and forward them to Britton from time to time. We are working to finally get the 2000 specific words needed to be able to get fluent.

To be able to speak a language fluently, you need at least a base set of 2000 specific words. Currently, we have about 1900 words in Xi'an. But only about 500 of them are part of the base set. The other words are too specific because they are made for SC needs.

Our current goal is to create the missing 1500 words of the base set.

Xi'an is, afaik, the most developed language

I tried to be the final voice to keep the overall message in the same tone to make it easier to read. Not being confident though, I pushed hard for Jale to help out with that as well. Also because he's a recognized authority in that community.

We had to go from symbols to SRB, I don't recall what that means. Then we converted SRB into a literal translation. And that into an intent or actual message/translation

The literal translation was word = [this/that/or this] kind of thing. Because there's a few ways to interpret something based on context.

The game is built for multicrew coop and there area so many avenues you could go down - mining, cargo haul, salvage, med beacon running, bunkers, bounty hunting, and piracy.

You can have a dedicated pilot on a ship accompanied by flight crew and ground infantry for gunships, haulers, etc

I dont believe so. Still incredibly buggy and the server issues are a constant set back. Trying to coordinated a group large or small would be tricky

Yeah still buggy as it is in alpha, but i've had a fair few successful coop sessions.

I’ve run in groups of like 12-20 people before, but it does ultimately come down the the server performance. If you get everyone gathered in a party in menu before launching to a server, it tends to a lot you in a more stable one or less populated

Is it an mmo or like an instanced based game? Cause planetside 2 was fun when it was supported but the grind wasn’t so fun for me.

My understanding is that the game is actively happening in real time, there’s no loading screens, phase changes, etc in the server, plus the persistent clutter and such with gear and ships. That’s typically what contributes to a lot of the server degradation and other issues as far as I understand it.

They really need to sort out orgs and allow people to make money for orgs, as well as share ships within an org. That would make org gameplay more worthwhile.

It depends really per ship or whichever way you wanna gain money but the bigger ship does not mean better though

Some bigger ships = more guns and some may mean more crew used guns. So you can do alot with a small ship but obvs the starter ships are as the name is a starter ship

For me its the experiance of the game they I enjoy

What’s the insurance for and how’s it work

Insurance is not in atm but when it is ingame it will kinda be like IRL when you ship is destroyed you can claim it and when it runs out you will need to take out more insurance but a note the amount of time on the ship its actual ingame time. So like 3 months of insurance is 3 months of actual playtime but I would not worry about that rn as its not even ingame yet

There used to be lifttime insurance starter packs but I dont think they do them anymore. You can sometimes get a Lifetime insurance rated ship but mostly on either rare ships, New concept ships and some starter packs when there is a sale

We'd need a couple of moless, prospectors, or ROCs. I upgraded my prospector to a vulture because I was getting fed up of finding good rocks i couldn't break due to the new mining update.

@plucky yacht I had responded to you on the forums. You can't be in two primary billets at the same time, so you'd need to be willing to transfer in order to help launch the starter platoon. Unless 5 people, whether current troopers or new enlistments, are willing to primary in the game then we can not launch a starter platoon and it will remain an unofficial game.

If the starter platoon is launched then we will have a meeting with the involved parties to determine things like when is best for everyone to play, but until we get the numbers it doesn't really matter outside of you guys coordinating unofficial play time.
