Do Japan ground. After 4.0 it was the easiest grind I have ever done. Went from nothing to 11.7 in 2 ish months

Their planes are really easy to grind too until 10.3

Israel is quick because it starts so much higher than everyone else, but the Merks are in a really bad place right now. Their armor and survivability are not great vs kinetic rounds, they have the joint longest reload, and are arguably the slowest top tier tanks

I haven't had that issue at all. I wasn't interested either until I saw a 4 sec reload tkx(p) absolutely slaughter an entire flank by itself. The reload surprises so many people. I have even purposely dumped shots into buildings to goad people to come out and then shoot them

Yes, they have statistically less armor but at top tier, everyone goes through everything anyway, and there is absolutely something wonky about the TKX/Type 10 armor model because I bounce way more shots than I think I should, especially on the flat side for some reason

Also, their top AA is spooky. it might as well be 11.7 because the missiles rarely miss, even if someone is dumping flares, and it gives zero radar emissions so people HAVE to visually see you fire to dodge

Only downside compared to others is against helos but even then it's still a 5 km lock so you can kill all but the worst of the shitters

It has no search radar which kinda sucks because you need to keep constant attention to the air and kill feed, but the missiles almost never miss a clear target, the G overload on them is nuts. The way I have gotten it to avoid the ground is since the seeker is uncaged, after lock, I flick the launcher up ~30° then fire. Have been able to hit people that dove behind mountains or tress that way relatively consistently. I have the 2S6, FlakRad truck, ADATS and Chapprel and I would easily pick the Japanese truck over them all for everything that isn't a helo

It is. They released it at 10.0 and moved it up a full BR after 2 months, that how strong it is. It doesn't have Pantsir or FlkRak range, but it is much more capable at <8km

Yes. I have everything except the foldered 11.7 which I am 55k away from. I am absolutely in love with their 9.0, 9.7 and 11.0 lineup. The 4 section reload at top tier gets me so many kills just by beating other people's reloads or sometimes just their reaction time/turret traverse.

Not to mention a super strong IR SAM launcher that just doesn't miss as long as the plane can't get behind some sort of landmass like a hill. I have shot many low flying planes through dense trees

The 9.3 Merkavas are monsters. Had several 8+ kill games in them today and last night. The thing is you get penned and damaged a lot but you rarely lose your gun or gunner so you get a lot of second shots off and with 450 pen at 9.3, you'll almost always go through

Not only that, shooting practically anywhere on the right side of the turret from the front leads to no damage as the ammo is in the low rear hull and the loader is buried down there too rather than standing up like most other tanks

It's called I've been grinding this game so long I'm running out of things to grind. (Close to 5000 hours) I have the British, American, and Russian air and ground trees done with the german ground done and the air almost done. Plus I like french tanks and the mirages so yes.

Cool yea, I'm just getting the F-84 and the hunter and then moving onto the mirages, I got the event mirage and the milan to grind with. Tanks I'm basically down to mephisto, roland, and the leclercs

the f84 is not worth playing as with all f84f's, but the hunter is arguably the best hunter for its br in game

it has the best flight model and engine out of the hunter at 9.0, contrary to 9.7

the mirage 5ba is also pretty fun (especially for sim since it goes down) and the f1c's are out of their prime due to fox 1's being the meta, get the 2000 cs5 and you're set for the rest of the grind

Well, the idea I was hoping they would go with. Make the Naval SIM tab more of a thing all week. Separate the ships and planes, so planes would be like 10 to 15 separate players and naval would be like 20 to 25 ships. But, it's Gaijin, something like that would benifit the players and they don't like that.

Because, some are harder to ammo rack over others. I know the US are easy to ammo.

Especially ships like the Cleveland, Des Moines, Roanoke can get ammo racked on it's deck, by a destroyer.

The IJN kind of built their ships with ammo sunk into the very bottom of some of their heavy cruisers and I believe some light cruisers.

Also, the weird design to have the fuel cells near the walls and guarding ammo. I mean, I get that you can use it as a fluid barrier to slow something down. But, causing a fire near ammo or the engine room.

warthunder doesn’t fit into how all these other games work with the cav, would you really show up to a squadron practice for warthunder? and what would you do in it? it’d be more esports training like a rocket league team more than anything (other than maybe air sim, but then why not dcs)

there’s not too many super complex mechanics to teach, maybe it’s just that i’m tired but these section practices would basically just be pointing out places on maps or how to pen specific tanks or what tanks to fear at the br you’re playing then taking half of your section with the sl and the other half with the asl into games trying to recreate those scenarios, or the opposite of doing a private lobby and then having really small games of 4v4

for ground, where there’s more mechanics to learn and dig into, just doesn’t seem surface wise super feasible to do, especially with br differences and nation differences

what do you do when you have a soviet american german and a swedish in your squadron and they are all at different br’s ranging from 3.3-unlocked tech trees

maybe someone smarter than me could figure it out but just seems like a lot of moving parts

most of the movement stuff is more based off positioning for ground rb, and that’s really dependent on the map. So your sp’s would be going over spots on a map or how to use a specific vehicle and playing it maybe with/against another section due to 8 people not being enough for a game, and again the biggest problem becomes nations and br’s.

Never heard of the 11th cav but warthunder at its core is way easier to pick up and play rather than something like dcs/arma but there’s also a lot less to teach

sections in the cav are supppsed to be 8 people each, warthunder isn’t the limitation. That’s why you can see where i said you could maybe combine two sections and have something, but even 8v8 is small for most maps

all of the problems i’ve stated have had NOTHING to do with the player count, but the materials to teach, section lead limitations, and how getting people into sections is also a limitation

for the 8 people per section rule they do take it seriously, for example the f4 section i was in was nearly under constant threat of being broken up because we had 12-13 people, luckily had a lot of leadership go to bat for me and then real life got in the way and i had to step back

(so ideally the f4 section here would’ve been 4 aircraft max since we were crewing every spot, which you can’t do too much with one flight of four, targets and objectives have to be smaller)

and last time i’ll state this again, the main problem is br’s. how the cav works right now is that you have sections at different times, just join one of the times that works for you that you can be at. If you add warthunder you add the extra limitation of br, gamemodes, and nations. Otherwise you’ll have a 3.3 in the same section as a former top 100 player, and that’s not fun for anyone

and nations like france/italy/sweden/japan would have to be tagged on, and regarding some br’s they just straight up won’t que with certain stuff (israel with axis at for air sim, etc)

And the turret cheeks are easily 1300mm HEAT
And over 700mm KE on a minimum without taking into account for DU upgrades

The problem lies with the turret ring being to big in WT

The frontal slope not having really any armor
And not ricocheting or shattering rounds

The frontal slope / upper lacks any
NERA

The sides are still wrong

And to me one of the biggest issues
Is the turret cheeks are modeled wrong

And it allows for you to be penned
In weird certain spots or the edges/corners of the turret cheeks

Like there is “soft spots” in the armor

I’ve seen the videos of Abrams export versions

To the turret cheeks like nothing

I will also complain about the F-15
It seems to stall and suffer from a Lack of control and authority in a lot of areas

It’ll stall and lock up coming out of the dive And fall straight down

When it should be dominating
comparatively

Also, the F-15 Conformal tanks
Decrease performance WAY more than two wing tanks

Because that completely invalidates part of the reason for conformal tanks

Yes, it increases weight and thus affects performance

But it shouldn’t be nearly as severe as two wing pods

Especially for the drag and parasite drag

Bombing bases is a great way to earn rewards and maintain a stable income in matches. Your earnings increase even more if you successfully return to the airfield and land. Focus on staying alive, as both your survival time and percentage of the match played act as multipliers for your rewards.

I recommend sticking to Realistic Battles. The rewards are higher, and the fights are more intense since you only have one life.
