Some animations need tweaking, like when he transitions from running to walking soul slide walks like Michael Jackson, which can sometimes put you out of the flow in combat.
Also, there needs to be more indicating hit patterns. For example, when Soul gets hit, he should be stunned or display animations of each hit. Heavy attacks should make the stun longer, while minor hits from swords and daggers are shorter. It can get confusing when you get hit, however, in this gameplay, we did not see Soul getting hit, so I can't judge yet what the getting hit response is like. just putting it out there anyway
Anyway, They could also rely less on Ui for indicative status for AI and take some inspiration from games like DOOM and Revengeance by adding dismemberment or some form of battle scar damage to indicate their health status. That way, you don't need the triangle icon and Health status, similar to Kojima's Death Stranding, where animations were the health bar to a certain extent instead of the Ui.
The animations are beautiful and amazingly clean. I would love it if we could record our own gameplay from different angles, similar to GTA 5's RockstarJust editor mode, this would allow us to create cinematic fights, and I really appreciate the work on the animations from those fantastic developers.
