Lets get right into it! No beating around the bush. Or the spore, I guess.

Layout

The [J]ungle
Best part of the map. Love the fungal spores. AMAZING for hide n seek. Baby squig task is just amazing too. The layout is simple, to the point and not confusing. The lab loop-around sucks ass tho.
I think the fungus traps are pretty awesome. I love juking the imps through the traps. Especially fun in hide n seek when theyre chasing you and you just barely juke them through the fog. I also really like the path split through greenhouse. Forcing you to chose the most optimal path through or risking a time loss.
What I'm not a fan of, however, is the loop around into laboratory. It's unnecesary and is so obviously put there to time-stall and give the map its "electrical" location. Every map has an 'electrical" location where kills are easy to get away with, and its so obvious they just forced lab to be one. 8/10

The Seaside
This area is just good. Basically just polus again. Not much to be said here. Don't like how little dorm and dropship are used. Could've had some cool tasks there. I like the marshmallow common task though. That ones awesome how you have to find random piles and then go to a central point. I also stand by the fact that there shouldve been a task in splash zone that involved inflating the crewmate floatie. 9/10

The Mountain
Probably my favorite part of the map. I love the lookout zone. Its a cool set piece. Not much to talk about due to the open space. Ill talk about other things later.
What I do NOT like (and this is a big not) is the ladders. And not because of gameplay (i think theyre fine, personally), but because its just lazy. They just dont fit the atmosphere. It wouldve been so much cooler if there was like a vertical zipline or a rope-powered lift attached to a rock, which lfited the platform up, or something. 8/10

The Zipline
Fun fact! If you need to get to lookout, its faster to go through the jungle than to take the zipline. This is because the zipline takes WAY LONGER to go up than to go down, and plus theres a back to back ladder on your descent to lookout, while jungle only has 1 ladder. I think going back is about the same time investment, but zipline is slightly faster due to the speed increase when going down it. 7/10

Sabotages

Reactor
Okay. This one sucks ass. Its timer is WAYYY too long. I think every map besides skeld has this issue. If any contributors are reading, PLEASE let us tweak reactors cooldown in the game settings. Also, wtf happens when it reaches 0? You're on an island, lol. 5/10

Comms
I mean the lookout shortcut I mentioned lets you style on those foolish zipline users. What's interesting is it's actually different than the M.I.R.A comms, because the code change timer doesn't reset to full when you enter the code. 8/10

Mushroom Mixup
Okay, I'm gonna be real. This sabotage is actually kind of underpowered. The issue is that, one, it only lasts 10 seconds, which means you can only strategically use it when you're in a crowd. But that brings up a bigger problem. Since it doesn't turn everyone a single color, and instead randomizes it, people can just say after you kill "I was yellow in the mixup" etc. etc. If they saw what color killed, you can't lie your way out of it. You're boned. 6/10

Doors
I hate em. It's RNG which decided how fast you can open them, and I don't think RRH is thumping at that. Plus, THEY MADE THE SMACK SOUND LIKE 10 TIMES LOUDER THAN EVERYTHING ELSE AND IT SHATTERS EVERY BONE IN MY BODY! plus, the map is so open that doors cant even be used strategically. It's just a way to piss off the crewmates. 4/10

Spore Traps
I actually really like these, as I said before. They're a really interesting and unique mechanic which allows for some big brain moves if you play your cards right. 10/10

Tasks

Okay, lets address the elephant in the room. These tasks are PISS EASY. They're just "drag this rope a few times" to "Spin the wheel like you're a fucking osu player" to "CLICK THE GREEN FUCKING BUCKET". It sucks that all the tasks are so damn simple. There's some that I love like the fishing one and the egg hatching one that has some really cool gimmicks. There's the one where you play fucking minecraft and it has the timing system. The fixing pipes one is fun too. I like a lot of them. I really do, but some of them are just so easy and brainless, like it's not even funny. But by far the worst part. The worst fucking part. The worst GOD FORESAKEN PART is the sheer amount of reused tasks from other maps. I cannot STAND the amount of tasks they just shoehorned in from other maps. The trash task, the showerhead task, the wire task, the ID task, the fucking comms task???? It's just the comms sabotage as a task?????? I don't think I need to say anymore. You get my point. 6/10

S - Polus; vents don't have animations and take you just long enough, cameras are next to a vent and must be switched through, admin is nerfed, vitals exist, doors have a separate cooldown and are opened with switches, reactor is far apart, communications are out in the open, it's just big enough. [There are literally no downsides; absolute perfection of game design].
A - Mira HQ; the vents connecting to each other actually balances out the Y-warding, but admin is overpowered, it's just big enough. [Some downsides, but mostly balanced through chaos].
B - Skeld; cameras and admin are overpowered, vents are underpowered, too small, overpowered doors. [More downsides, Crewmates have a strong advantage].
C - Fungle; too big, underpowered cameras, cool fungus mechanic, doors have a separate cooldown and are opened with switches, no lights, no admin, has vitals, vents are relatively balanced. [Even more downsides, Impostors have a strong advantage].
D - Airship; too big. [Most downsides; Impostors always win].

admin and cafeteria are extremely high traffic and open areas, and the 3rd vent is on a fucking camera you cant even see on when in it

The only exception is the lab vent which is balanced due to the high risk area it puts you in

Once you unvent you have to loop around (which is still a pretty dumb idea tbh, shouldve just had it be a basic entrance)

I feel like Lookout would be a good electrical location but they couldn't decide what tasks to put there to force crewmates to enter it (other than the admin code thingy, and the binoculars which are barely used) hehe_sob
