Let’s get right into it

Impostor Normal: these impostors are the basic ones, or don’t fit into the categories.
Impostor Tricksters: These impostors cause confusion among the crew; provide false evidence. (Trickster, soul catcher, dazzler)
Impostor Meeting: These impostors are focused around meetings (Vindicator, Assassin)
Impostor Specials: These impostors have special ways of killing. (Vampire, warlock, puppeteer, bomber)
Impostor Recruit: These impostors use others to help further their cause. (Right now, only gangster and lightning or whatever it’s called, hopefully more!)

Even Spread: ON-OFF (makes it so only one of each category is chosen per round. So if there’s 3 imps, you coul get 1 normal, 1 trickster, 1 recruit. Still random which 3 categories though)

Crewmate Inform: These crewmates help inform the other players that they’re a crewmate, or provide useful information. (superstar, celebrity, Marshall, Overseer, medium, fortune teller, detective)
Crewmate Hunter: These crewmates specifically are tasked with finding, eliminating, or neutralizing impostors. (Sheriff, r🤢verie, Knight, admirer, snitch)
Crewmate Support: These crewmates boost their teammates, or provide useful preventative abilities. (Medic, mechanic, Monarch, Pacifist, paranoid)
Crewmate Catcher: These crewmates try to catch impostors in the act. (Bastion [soon], Chameleon, Grenadier, bodyguard)
Crewmate Meeting: Crewmates that operate well in meetings. (Dictator, Mayor, Vigilante)
Crewmate Miscellaneous: Self explanatory.

Neutral Killers: Should stay the same as it is. But here’s a few sub categories for them!

  • Neutral Kill Recruit: Killers that recruit. Why is this not already a category lol (jackal, virus)
  • Neutral Kill Powerhouse: These killers can easily hold their own, even if working alone. They usually have abilities that help them kill, or don’t have any major issues killing. They’re the normal neutrals killers. (Blood Knight, Juggernaut, Traitor, Serial Killer)
  • Neutral Kill Blend: These killers wait till the right moment to strike. They usually either strike near the climax of a game, or have abilities to let them stay undetected. (Glitch, Plague-bearer, Arsonist, Pelican)

True Neutral: These neutrals don’t have any real “role” in the game. They serve to help whatever team they desire, or cause what people call “the funnies” to occur. Basically, lump benign and chaos into one category. (Witch, opportunist, amnesiac, Pursuer) I like this one because it allows people to make more “funny” role ideas, without fear of how they win, cause you can just make it win like oppo.

Neutral Outcast: These neutrals have a set goal, and will do whatever it takes to achieve it. They have special win conditions. (Jester, Executioner, Terrorist, Phantom, Collector, Workaholic, Soul Catcher, Doomsayer) this is pretty much just neutral evil.

I spent an hour on this

It’s pretty much impossible to make a “good” neutral subcategory since it defies what neutrals are as a concept. Roles that don’t fit into their own category

#

I’d say with exception for the neutral killers, get rid of neutral categories

@reef oasis @fading drum All done :)

This moreso aims at helping role ideas circulate

Eh.

Not a fan of splitting "General information" into multiple categories.
Misc has the same drawbacks as the Modifier category.
Meeting shouldn't be its own category.

# rustic temple can you explain?

I would say making Crewmates whose job is to gather information, whether it be catching Killers "in the act" or not, should be Investigative.

The use of Misc categories shouldn't exist, as all Roles could fit into a category.

Making "meeting-based" Roles have a category is unnecessary. Councillor, for example, has the point of killing in secret using commands, making it an Impostor Concealing. A Judge, similarly, would then be a Killing Crewmate Power.

i would combine the neutral killing that recruit with the other neutrals that recruit
