Also the inspiration for Bodyguard comes from Town of Salem, where it kills the killer along with themself.
I agree, that would make Bodyguard better in my opinion
So does Bodyguard.
Bodyguard has to try and predict where a kill may occur.
Crusader has to try and predict to see if a specific player will have an attempted kill.
If Bodyguard didn't kill the killer, then you just die and nothing special happens.
Bodyguard just uses proximity.
Adding the setting would make Bodyguard pretty useless.
it's already hard to successfully use Bodyguard, so if it didnt kill the killer, whats the point
Medic was reworked
You just can't be killed till the Medic dies.

I don't like adding things that would make a role worse.
Even then, polishing and TOH backporting is currently the priority.
Let's just see what the community thinks. See #1109932756210819082.
Yeah people are just gonna stick to someone as Bodyguard, and we already have the follower that does that
I'll leave this to the community to decide.
Exactly that
Yeah the poll isn't accurate, I don't really know what to vote even though I'm sure of my opinion on the role
“First point actually makes sense if the role is called Bodyguard — you cover someone with your body and die instead of them, but it shouldn’t affect the killer.”
And yet you think being nowhere near the person you’re protecting makes sense?
It just makes people group, killers aren't gonna kill in stack, so I'm struggling to see the use of bodyguard as of now
Still though, why are you suggesting for the killer not to die? If people know what BG does they’ll eject the killer anyways, so this way just wastes time and also means some people will not know about BG and thus not know to eject the killer
I agree with the idea of tagging but not the idea that you are nothing but a meat shield
Yeah, and if it’s due to ignorance, it’s frustrating. @wicked dagger if the poll succeeds, will you make the tagging and bodyguard dying only the same or separate options?
i dunno.
Well I’d like a definitive answer so I can change my vote on the poll
Bruh @tired swift you voted yes and no
