Just like Fragile, the Pessimist is a harmful add-on for only Crewmates and Impostors, they win with their team unless they die, which will guarantee the Pessimist's loss, the same thing will happen if they get converted (Such as Madmate)

ALTHOUGH; here's an idea maybe, crewmate only add-on, Pessimist still plays like normal but they lose if their own team wins UNLESS they complete all their own tasks turning them into an optimist
(dead or alive makes no difference)
They ONLY win if they do their tasks AND their team wins
Losing could consist of: losing but finish tasks (obviously), and win but haven't completed tasks
