Animated GIFs only show up as static images. Do I need to convert these to video first in order to use?

Are you on a Mac or a P.C.?

Go to the file, in the Finder.

Click on it.

Press the space bar.

An animated preview of your GIF should play.

If not, then you didn’t download a GIF.

Oh I'm sorry, I mean within Adobe Express. If I upload an animated GIF into a video project, the animation is not playing.

I've got word that we can't add GIFs, but please upvote, and we'll keep working on it. Maybe there needs to be more info about whether this can work when you try to upload a GIF. Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks! Upvoted 👍 I was able to convert from gif to video in Photoshop (desktop), but my colleague is on Adobe Express exclusively. There are already tools to convert video to gif, and "various video formats" to mp4. perhaps the latter could be updated to also include gifs...

Upvoted. Basic functionality that is sorely needed.
