ok so i have yet to see any alt/event animations used in a song at all, maybe i haven't been playing the right songs but i think i have an idea that will make these animations more common:
categorize them
what i mean by this is, every alt/event animation can be put into categories, like 'attack' animations, or 'dodge' animations
then, if a song uses a context in which your character is doing said categorized animation, it will use that animation instead of either using the default animation (if it's an alt anim) or doing nothing (if it's an event anim)
example
⋅ mario world bf's animation (from mario's madness) has an attack animation (idk if its an event or an alt but it shouldnt matter in this situation)
⋅ boxing match (voiid mix) features the left player attacking every time the right player has a boxing glove note
∙ so if the left player had the mario world bf animation equipped during the boxing match (voiid mix) song, the mario world bf attack animation would play every time the right player gets a boxing glove note
i probably overcomplicated this but idk how else to explain it
