I think it's cus he was one of the first exes to really play around with the idea of disguising themselves as a bootleg sonic only to reveal a much more distorted and monstrous form, he definitely wasn't the first cus Lord X and the original Sonic.exe did that too an extent but honestly at this point it's not that unique anymore
