@oak siren To fix this error, manually download and install the Windows App Runtime 1.5 from Microsoft's official archives

For this one since it prompts for such an old version of windows app runtime you can almost immediately deduce that they're trying to run a downloader that's no longer supported, as JVAV's latest uses .net 9.

your solution isn't wrong, but in this case a better solution would be to simply upgrade to a newer downloader and follow the steps shown in the FAQ after. Since sometimes if a new user tries to download an old downloader, even if they do install runtime 1.5, it can keep giving that message that it's not installed.
