I opened my task manager to see why the download seemed to take so long and I realized that it never went over 100mbps even though I have gigabit ethernet. Is there a way to uncap the download speed? For reference I'll attach a screenshot showing a steam download and the old game download next to eachother (I wasn't actually downloading anything else ofc while actually trying to download the old version)

You probably don't have a steam cache near your network so you download it from servers far away and the latency could be big
and its probably being capped by the steam download

ssd speed is probably a factor but because its a depot its like the full game from scratch, not like a 8gb update

so 16MB/s is 128 mbit
