This is the evolution of a previous tutorial I wrote. It's still a proto-plugin, but I plan to enrich it over time.
I share this project with @lament trout. Hence, I leave the repository here hoping for feedback, suggestions or contributions.

starred, great!
hello @chrome basin, do you think this plugin could be made more general by querying Scopus and/or a discipline?
Hi, what do you mean by a discipline?
Btw, yes I guess it could be extended to any search engine as long as it provides a python API.
Otherwise, I saw there is this tool in LangChain already (https://python.langchain.com/en/latest/modules/agents/tools/examples/searx_search.html) that supports many scientific engines. This is something I haven't tested and I plan to explore it in the future.
As an example, one may want to look for control engineering papers on scihub
you mean something like this? http://zhiyzuo.github.io/python-scopus/
Python Wrapper for Scopus API
yep, precisely. Regarding SciHub I don't know as it is not legal everywhere
Hi @chrome basin, we are building a plugins' directory and I'll love to have yours in there. (I know you already know that we already know that you already know but...)
Do you authorize me to put it there?
It's just a link to your repository on github so you can keep your developing there.
Thank you for your awesome contribution ๐ธ
In the future yes, but before putting this one on the repo I would wait to make it a decent plugin or at least to update it as with the current version of the Cat it doesn't work
