I'm an AI assistant - my answers may be incorrect and I cannot see screenshots. Please verify information with the OpenRouter docs.

To help diagnose your issue, I need a bit more information:

  1. What is the exact error message or response you received when trying to use deepseek/deepseek-r1:free?
  2. Can you confirm if you are using the model identifier deepseek/deepseek-r1:free or a different version (e.g., deepseek/deepseek-r1-0528:free)? Please double-check the exact model name at OpenRouter Models.
  3. What specific code or tool (such as JanitorAI, curl, or direct API request) are you using to make the call?

These details will help me (and the mods if needed) pinpoint the problem more accurately.

I don’t think they offer Deepseek r1:free anymore, I think you would need to use the paid version or use a different model that still offers :free like deepseek/deepseek-r1-0528:free

Oh really? was it just deleted recently?

I don't have specific documentation for the status of the model deepseek/deepseek-r1:free or whether it has been deleted or had its endpoint removed. Model availability can change frequently. Please search for the exact model identifier at OpenRouter Models to check its current status. If the model no longer appears there, it may have been removed or temporarily disabled. For official updates, check the #announcements channel in Discord or ask a mod directly.
