#Error: No 'choices' found in OpenRouter response
26 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
hello, im running into this a lot with using Gemini and deepseek when testing for my project
error code 500 is undefined
also - side question. if I want to see the model's thinking, how can I get it to be stored somewhere with the response?
Add "include_reasoning: true" to the body of the api request
That means OpenRouter had an error. You weren't charged. You can try again
oh neat, so its on their end and there's nothing I can do to investigate?
Not unless you have some super weird use case and its making OpenRouter unable to process your request
uhhh, Im using very long contexts (large .txt files)
Does it happen often?
but easily below token limits
and also doesn't happen all the time for the same request
literally half the time
OpenRouter might not be built to handle requests that large
hmm, I'd think so but its not really too consistent with it happening more with bigger files
its happening just as much with a 70k token file then with a 1.2m token file
Interesting
I don't have a solution for you
no worries, cheers anyway
I can take a look tomorrow morning
500 errors mean the provider is having a problem, not openrouter
eternal is right tho, you aren’t being charged for those
any update on this error?
(there was no update)
Sorry @distant crypt I haven't specifically investigated, what model were you seeing this on? a 500 error is an upstream error, it's not an openrouter error. whatever provider you were using was having issues
