assume that would be entirely manageable with your own prompting and structure, just that this has been trained not to approach everything with an overly positive outlook

Yeah, maybe that will help. I think you can probably accomplish something similar with a DnD-like system of rolling a die for the outcome, but having something like that is cool too!
