#can I post jobs here? I am recruiting for an AI/full stack founding engineer role.

I think a job board is something we can do as a community but we will need to support it collectively.
My experience with community job boards is you need clearly defined rules for posting and someone willing to monitor and ensure the board doesn't descend into spam, scams and bad faith actors.
Job posters need to clearly define timelines, pay, and descriptions and have some level of transparency of who they are/what they are about.
So, with some support, I think a job board is a great value add for the community but we would need volunteers to help moderate to ensure the board provides quality, high value opportunities for both posters and seekers within a niche that makes sense given the community values here.
Anyone that wants to support this? Handful of mods checking 10 min/a week should be totally fine for us to get started
thanks for the answer, your concerns are completely valid. I am a big advocate for the agency I work with & I'm happy to provide my real linkedin/contact info to stake the postings on if that helps.
of course! Thank you for your consideration there!
It's less about your specific job listing and more about the issue of support and the will to keep it maintained on our end as a community. If it's something we think everyone could benefit from and can help support, I'm all for it. But for now, we don't have the infrastructure to support a quality board.
Maybe we could ask @crisp lance @random marsh @magic thorn who may know where the best job board is these days?
there is a jobs&collaborations board on our huggingface server, feel free to post your opening there as well as a well-defined description about the role, required skills, tasks, and possibly academic background if applicable.
Let me know if you face any issues.
Thanks Lain!
@unreal elk have you heard of any good job boards? Also wondering if we have anything specific to open source?
PUH! ๐ not for AI ๐ haha that for sure
in general i can just point to the same ones as usual, the freelancer market is even more cut these days
so indeed and linkedin are still the prime things, as annoying as it sounds
i would rather have something else for real
I guess this is an area we could potentially add value to the ecosystem - a job board for software projects that have certain licensing maybe?
you mean like free work?
nope! I mean paid but we could also have a volunteer option
there are open source projects paying helpers and search for hiree?
yes
they are out there. Mostly recently funded working on a specific verticle and forking something
but this is why maybe a job board is a good idea
dont end up like the perl jobs board ๐
if you post a job there you got 30-40 linked in indians reposting it and bothering everybody who might have the qualification without caring for their location
probably a very natural progression with low volume job boards
there are! but the only role like this that I am recruiting for is more web3/crypto focused. I can @ you if a good fit comes along, what is your expertise?
