#Hello! I have a question about the Always-On Display (AOD) feature on the iPhone 13

I’ve been using the AOD feature via Nugget, but I’m concerned about possible burn-in or long-term screen damage, especially since AOD shows static elements like the time, date, and notifications continuously. I understand that OLED screens are particularly susceptible to burn-in if static images are displayed for extended periods.

Does Nugget include any measures like pixel shifting, similar to Apple’s native implementation on newer iPhones (such as the iPhone 14 Pro), to prevent screen burn-in? Apple’s AOD uses pixel shifting and other optimizations to protect the OLED screen from burn-in, but I’m not sure if these protections are in place for the modified AOD feature through Nugget.

Additionally, I’ve noticed that when AOD is active, the display is dimmed, but some static content (like the time and notifications) remains visible. If I use AOD for long periods (e.g., 8-12 hours a day), could this cause damage to the display in the long run?

I’d appreciate any insight into how Nugget handles this, especially regarding protection for OLED screens and whether pixel shifting or similar technologies are implemented.

Thanks a lot for your help!

it’s because you’re using the features aka tweak of iphone 14+ which makes your battery drain
