When creating new tab it just redirect in the url bar instead of creating one

gonna answer your question anyway in case anyone wanders in by searching, you can type about:config into the URL bar and it'll take you to an advanced config page with more options than can fit into a normal settings page. although this one really should be fitted in as a checkbox somewhere.

Thanks for this I don't know why this is a "feature". I honestly thought that I broke something along the way.
