no no... yyou gotta install the mod, go to mod settings and enable transparency first. then re-open the browser.

after that. your browser is set to allow transparency but you gotta make the websiters transparent and a mod can't do that. so use the Zen Internet addon for that. install and open it, sync 🙂

Yoo @dull rover I saw ur new styling of the gemini site and it is nuts. Much better than what I had scrambled together. One thing though I would like (you) to add. This is a general Firefox issue on some sites, but the icons in the buttons are not centered, at least for me. So I made a solution

i copied the userchrome from github but it doesn't completely remove the borders, there is still a small rounded border in the corners.

nah it takes time for them to test and verify... so far I've only seen one software getting added and it was PowerToys... I doubt zen will be added if they do enough research because of the bugs of tabs randomly loosing and especially the recent mistakes of pushing vulnerable firefox versions to beta.

Either way, now I realize firefox is a bit of a pain when comes to web dev... so many broken and doesn't work at all things even on vanilla firefox

I helped him. Apparently his Windows might be corrupted (happens when user tries to customize too much editing sensitive system files and regedit) and I told him to use DWMGlassBlur which forces any type of transparency (Mica, Mica Alt, Acrylic, Blur and Fluent) to help him get what he wanted.

if you are using custom transparency mods, make sure you got enough contrast for the browser to show the colors well...

I think here the transparency is kinda messing things up.. cuz you can't fix this with the website.. you have a black and also white colored bg so both themes will not give enough contrast... try modifying the transparency mod you useing I assume on Windows or chaneg the wallpaper

this entire section is for forcing themes on websites that does not have a theme made for... it's experimental so the theme might work or might not... high chance it will break overlays...

so whitelist mode means when force theming on, you have to also enable the toggle below on each site to apply the force theme to that website.. so basically only the specific sites are force themed...

in blacklist mode, all the websites are forced to be transparent if no pre-made theme not found... but, if any website having issues, you can use the last toggle (which will be called skip this website) so now the websites skipped won't get themed...

this means once you have a few websites added to a whitelist or a blacklist , flipping the mode will invert the selection... in that case, you can go to the data viwer and clear the whitelist/blacklist there

The second one doesn't make websites transparent, it enables the setting (browser.tabs.allow_transparent_browser I think) that allows them to be transparent, you can do that manually from about:config

ahh that's the reason... your compositor should have blur support... linux by default does not... afaik, only hyprland and kde so far got some kind of blur features to get working on those DEs. doubt it's gonna be easy on gnome and such,,,, this is up to the DE not the browser

how to do it? idk... once a while ago i did distro hopping and absolutely hated these distros cuz any kind of blur was a nightmare let alone for display capturing but even for daily use

Mod was finally updated with a few of the fixes I was waiting for and now you can have,

• A subtle pop animation when switching tabs
• Blur the webpage when the URL bar is open (because we can't make the urlbar blurry)
• Trackpad gestures from the zenimations mod I was planning to add but still waiting for approval.

These are disabled by default because animations are mostly a personal preference of the user. Go to mod settings to check them out!

if the tabs all are unloaded, yes it will not switch to an unloaded one... that is my fav thing tho... I like when I finish what I was doing and completed, all I see is an empty window

Ahh I see.. there should be transparency there but since the window is in full screen, macOS does not apply transparency... this is why I keep just filled not full screen... But if you want the black bars, that setting should add easily 🙂 and reload
