Made a simple copy current URL button extension for Zen

Yes! You can do this by "Pinning" the extension and then right clicking the menu bar and dragging it to the right of the url bar

Then right click menu bar and "Customize Toolbar"

then drag the link icon to the right of the toolbar

I don't use the url on sidebar so I don't know how it works. Can you not pin an extension in the url with sidebar? where does it pin when you do that?

i am already using that mod, that option just frees up some space on the right, other than that i don't see any other chagnes.

does any of your icons disappear when you enable it?

last time i checked, i had the container icon enabled, it didn't disappear with this option, it just moved to the left a bit

there might be a visual glitch for me too, when I enable that, the icon to the right disappears but also doesn't go into the bar, so I'm wondering if it's "in" the url bar but not displayed properly

I thought it was supposed to put whatever icon was immediatly to the right of the URL bar in the url bar, but I know a lot of mods are broken with the new beta update

nope, in fact when i am hovering over it, the bookmakr icon is showing up lol even though i have it disabled

oh hey! I have reddit enhancement suite extension, and some how, without me setting it, that extension icon is inside the URL bar, so there must be something I can do to put it in there on my side. No idea how but willing to figure it out :)

coolio, how do i make it work with single toolbar though? i don't seem to be figure out how to put it inside the url bar, i have turned the option on

actually, nvm, it seem to be there, however, seems to be an issue with superurl bar, the icon is there its just behind the bookmark icon (which is hidden and only appearing when hovering for whatevevr reason)

yeah, looks like you are using the compact mode

🔗 Added ability to add the icon to the inside of the URL bar.
(This is only tested in Zen and only in 'Multiple toolbars' and 'Collapsed toolbar' mode. I haven't tested in 'Single toolbar' mode. Your experience may vary.)

Didn't test it in that in Single Toolbar mode sadly, I think there are still bugs related to icons there :/

cause in the other two modes it shows up like this even with the super URL bar options selected to hide everything:

If you download reddit enhancement suite does it do the same thing?

Not sure. I made a pull request for the fix on the github page, you could copy the code from there. It's just changing a couple values.

Oh my bad you're right that's for the background blur. I'm not sure of the fix for url button placement

I probably won't be too much help here so sorry :/ I'm not a real developer and wouldn't know the first thing about finding an incompatibility between my extension and SuperURL Bar.

if you disable super URL bar and then try RES on reddit

probably a good place to start :) then enable 1 by 1 till it happens again :) (I usually start with a completely new profile in about:profile when testing things so I don't affect my daily driver

Definitely a bug out of my control. CSS is changing the way extension set icons display on the URL. No code I could add to change the overwriting of superurl bar :/

This is available in the extenison options.
about:addons then click the 3 dot menu on the extension and then options. you can set the time out to whatever you want or 0 to disable

because there is like no indicator for when i click the extension when its inside the url bar

I don't use it with it in the URL bar and tbh didn't do much testing on that feature. It's supposed to call the same function as the icon itself does so theoretically is should show the popup, but I will look maybe eventually 😂

Secondly looks like the popup function isn't being called properly when inside the URL bar.

One more feature request. Purely asthetic
In arc when you click on the copy url icon it nicely animates to a check ✔️ and a toast comes to indicate url is copied.
I was using another extension which does a similar thing but also animates but looks horrible. And yours have a slowww popup. I think you can take best of both and merge.
