#Zen browser somehow ignores my VPN

I think I have a similar problem. Since I live in China, I cannot access Google and Meta services, so I have to use a VPN (Proxy). While I have no problems with other browsers, after version 1.0.1-a.8 I started to not be able to access these sites or services with the Zen browser. So I downgraded to version 1.0.1-a.8. In version 1.0.1-a.8, I can connect to Google via Zen.
Tried to find any meaningful differences between this version and the newer one, but failed to find any. Maybe someday in the future this will be fixed. Also, I think it's tied to the network config in profile, but I may be wrong on this one.
Oh, nevermind, I found a solution. It's very simple actually; all you need to do is open Settings -> General -> Network settings and pick "Use system proxy settings". The creator of the browser thinks it should default to no proxy because other services may spy on the browser. But I think default should be set as in original Firefox, because it may be very confusing for VPN and proxy users.
