#i'd love an adblocker like brave it has

Yeah, an built-in adblocker would just be another thing that would have to be maintained and looked at, especially with how quick some platforms are to try and stamp out adblockers. Its better to just use a reliable and well-trusted and well-maintained extension then to try and replicate even a fraction of its effectiveness.
what would be such an adblocker who (hpefully) doesnt collect data (paid and free version)
@whole burrow
uBlock Origin as others have suggested
Theoretically, the browser could ship w it
Yea it could but imo no use to do that
Even Firefox could benefit from this. Specially on the mobile version.
Whilst uBlock Origin is the commonly chosen golden standard for adblockers I know there are people that stand strongly with other brands of adblockers.
Maybe there could be an option where it provides a more in-depth setup which includes providing a list of extensions that the user could install to make the experience better.
For example it could show a screen showing a list of popular adblocker extensions and ask which one the user would like to add. Then it could ask which password manager extension they would like. Important extensions like that.
That'd be neat
Then they'd just disable the built in one
Or give people the option to choose which adblocker they want to install in the on-boarding process instead of mandating which one a person should use. When in the onboarding process it could ask you if you want to install AdGuard AdBlocker, uBlock Origin, AdBlock Plus, and possibly some other adblockers that are popular (or option to have none if that's the approach they so choose.)
