Me and a buddy have a co-op game that we have been trying to play. The update on may 8th led to the game being unable to save on its own and will crash every 3-5 minutes. Is there a known fix that we can do? We do not have any mods and were able to play the game for about 2 weeks before we started experiencing this issue.

There was an update yesterday, verify files on both PC's, close steam completely and relaunch. If that doesn't work, the devs will want both your save files.

We both updated and relaunched the game after the update and it did not fix the issue for us. We both verified the files and it still crashed

i.e. your GPU driver keeps getting timed out.
Likely due to Windows TDR, which means the functions sent by the CPU take too long to finish on the GPU which is mostly caused by it not being stable in the first place (buggy driver, unstable power delivery, unstable core clocks, overheating, overlays or other rendering hooks interfering with it, etc.).
There's a newer Nvidia Game Ready Driver (576.52) if you want to try.
