#Needs a way to cancel recipes

The cooking is super broken for a few reasons. Mainly there needs to be a way of canceling a recipe when you don't have the ingredients to complete it. IMO this should happen automatically and if the ingredients are missing NPCs should just return the existing ones to the stockpile. Or even losing all the ingredients would be prefereable to the staus quo. Right now the only way to get my inn cooking again is to wait for the next harvest a year away, or demolish and rebuild the inn. I think they also need to pump the firewood and make it last waaaay longer than it does currently, and NPCs need to stop feeding the fire when there are no ingredients to cook with. Just prioritize adding ingredients over adding firewood.

Having the same issue. We haven’t obtained/unlocked salt yet. My Inn cooking pot is stuck asking for salt and the only way to use that pot is to demolish the building or wait until we find salt.

Also, not sure why the other cooking pots can’t make the better recipes. Maybe using better food on NPCs is a waste? Idk. But the yield and limit of one pot for the tavern doesn’t make it a viable option to make advanced recipes.

i dont think its a waste because it holds 10 villagers. imo its almost better to build that then village houses

that may be, ... but buy that time i can unlock the tavern will have all my t1 houses already replace by t2 houses.... destroying those and replace them with losts of taverns is even more wastefull...
in my opinion the tavern is a faulty concept,... a professional cooking building "comunal oven" would be way better..., if even we have somthing like a tavern or an inn, lodging provided fits more for visitors like a trading caravan would use this while visiting the setltement and provide buyable resources for the duration of their stay...
