I too would like the option to set a repair in increments instead of it just be when broken.

yeah,.. its a bit stupid when they come back with the 5% durabilty weapon and you have to check all of them yourself, for shield and weapon durabilty... just happend too me last night with my meager 10 peole army... on poor sobs weapon broke midfight.... 😄 made wonder if it would be usefull to have like a maintenance office, or repair station and the assigned villager as seeking out damaged equipment below a certain setting

Having weapons break mid fight because your army decided to go into battle with weapons at 2% durability is horrible. Manually checking a 20 man army is tedious.
